The rooms that we booked was not the rooms that we pay for there was a fight that broke out on Saturday and they closed down everything so we couldn’t take our kids to the adventure dome like we planned to do and when I ask them, can they refund us at least one night back for our room because we couldn’t do anything with our kids and this is spring break that we have to leave on Sunday They didn’t want to refund us for at least one night so I recommend not staying at Circus Circus for any of you

We were staying for one night only. We got to the property at 10 am. We chose to check in. They said for early check in was additional 69$ ( more than what we payed for the one night stay) so we chose to not do that. There was an options for them to text you and email you when your room was ready at normal check in time. We went to explore the strip. Took all day and still no text at 5pm! We headed back to check in. But in the way to the check- in area there was a stampede of teens running and screaming shooter. The staff was also running and creating chaos. My sister and cousin who I was with were frightened and went on a random elevator and floor to seek shelter. It was a traumatic experience and the staff were uncompassionate to the situation

We stayed because we have young children. They enjoyed the circus shows and the amusement park. They said it was their favorite hotel out of all the ones we visited. The “updated” room was okay, very hot water and good shower pressure. The rooms here were the lowest priced option on the strip as well. We saved $1500 vs staying at Caesars. Cannot complain.

My absolute only negative review about Circus Circus is that the lobby to check in and check out is on the complete opposite side of the casino/hotel from the ride share drop off. Other than that. The rooms are lovely, it’s not too far of a walk from the strip if you want to get a quick exercise in. I did not know the tram from the Convention Center across the street takes you to certain spots on the strip, so that’s a fun little tidbit for next time. Also their 24 hour food court comes in clutch at 2am when you get hungry. Good quick food service. Still wish the Del Taco was in the building, but can’t win them all.

Circus circus had brawls all over and a whole bunch of cops went storming in with shotguns and AR’s and I didn’t get any information about whether it was safe to come out of our rooms and any time you tried to call the front desk they would just put you on hold

Hotel shooting

There was a shooting in the hotel that the manager tried to play off like it didn’t happen but we were there to hear the gunshots. They allowed kids and families to walk thru the hotel with no warning of what was happening we had to hide in the food court because people were running we ran as fast as we could to the room I’ve never been so scared in my life to think I wouldn’t go back to my kids. We got stuck in the hotel all of Saturday night lost our Eiffel Tower dinner reservations multiple attractions we were going to. The next morning we asked if they were going to do anything for the people who did lose their Saturday night. They said the only way they were going to do something is if we had decided to check out while everything was happening. So get a refund to possibly lose our lives. No calls to the room to explain that it was ok to leave no announcements. No wonder they are selling this place. We were going to stay until Monday but we decided to drive back to az a day early after spending so much money on things we were able to do.
