The Ornen is a relatively new and large hotel. Due to us having two bikes and boxes for shipping to deal with, we were given an end room which was ver adequate for our stuff. The hotel stored the bike boxes until we arrived. The breakfast was incredible, all different types of food, something for everyone, the staff were super attentive in keeping everything filled and dishes cleared as soon as you were done. The hotel was an easy 10-15 min walk to the wharf and Bryggen area with lots of dining options. There is a mall next door, train station two blocks away and parkade across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A wonderful comfortable hotel of quality and hospitality. A great location for town and transport. The breakfast was far better than we thought it would be, lots of choice and very tasty. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Good hotel if there is no heat spell

The hotel was generally fine. It is hotel used by groups so the lobby area was congested and noisy at times. The room was fine accept the hotel does not have AC. There was a heat spell in Bergen during our visit as a result our room was very warm. There is a small window that opened but it was 27C out side. There included breakfast was excellent.

Hotel's. Com site shows this hotel having air conditioning and it turned out that the hotel only has a fan type system in each room not AC as described in the aminity page! The room was very hot resulting in the room being very uncomfortable to sleep in.

Everythinh is fine. Good location. The only downside is the hotel has no air con. So it does get stuffy during the day. Fortunately, at night it is cooling. But we had to open the windows.

Rooms are not large but fairly nice. Very friendly staff. The only problem - And it was a very significant problem - is that there was only one outlet on one side of the bed. There was nothing on the other side, which is ridiculous in this day of everyone carrying multiple electronic devices. I tried plugging into the bathroom, but it turns out that when you turn off the bathroom light you also turn off the bathroom plug. Only I didn't discover that until the next morning.
