Darlene at the front desk was the most unpleasant staff member of all. My expectations of the front desk are that they should be welcoming, friendly, someone who can help, etc. This was not Darlene. From the second I walked up to the front desk, she wanted to make every interaction a challenge. She didn't smile, was unpleasant and had to leave the desk to get answers from other staff members bc she didn't know what to say. Unfortunately, I have to rate this a 3 experience because of how this individual. She should not be guest facing in my opinion.

My main issue was the beds. Staff at front were lovely and explained the hotel. Room was clean and breakfast was sufficient for be g included. It wasn’t noisy with slamming doors however the beds and the decor need help. Both my son and I broke out in rashes both nights the moment we sat on the beds.

Good - staff were all great. Rooms were good. Love that it’s a secured building and security on site Bad - location was awful with the unhoused. They are very aggressive and we did not feel safe outside.

The room was clean and smells fresh. Is it a walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade and shopping mall. A block away from the Metro station, very convenient. The staff are very friendly.

Short dark hairs stuck on shower wall. Valet man was amazing and the most helpful. Booked this hotel as it has a laundry. First hotel with a laundry we couldn’t use. They had no quarters from check in to check out. A full load wash and dry required 32 quarters. People don’t travel with a bucket of coins, please put in a change machine or change them to updates ones that take card or app payments so people can use it. If I’d known I’d have booked a place opposite the pier for the same price

The room was amazing! We stayed in a king bed suite and it was very spacious. Huge balcony with furniture to use. Decent view but only partially ocean view. The breakfast was incredible. The staff was super courteous and everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable.

Great room and facilities, having breakfast included daily was wonderful however the quality of food could be improved. It was good enough however. Surrounding area isn’t overly clean but that’s Santa Monica. Homelessness everywhere
