This has literally been the BEST hotel that I have stayed at. This is my second booking here for a surgery in Birmingham coming from out of town and every single time I have been impressed with the staff, the cleanliness and the comfort. During my recovery I was comfortable and slept like a baby! It's quiet, convenient to shopping areas and my doctors office. I woild stay here every single time!

The property is a little older but the owners and mgmt have worked to update the property and keep it clean and safe. Staff and owners were quick and responsive to answer questions, provide resources, and fix the locking mechanism quickly. Would stay here again.

What’s that smell?

The hotel room and staff were pleasant, but our fourth-floor room was plagued by a truly unpleasant odor. It was a bizarre concoction of heavily spiced food cooking and an overpowering floral air freshener – neither of which would have been objectionable on their own, but the combination was truly repulsive.

On the road of getting run down.

I’ve stayed at this location a lot in the past and it was nice. This trip the juicer machine was down only had coffee and milk. Some people don’t drink coffee or milk. They could have put out a pitcher of water. They do have a small glass water tank by the door that was almost empty and looked dirty has been there a while. It’s starting to get run down. I won’t be staying there again.

My room was filthy there was two bags of trash in McDonald’s bags under the sink from the previous people that stayed I barely had any towels in my room and when I asked for another room the man was rude and told me they were booked up and I couldn’t get any sleep For the people next door sound like the wee partying I called the front desk but of course no help

OK, but just...

Great location and I've stayed here on and off for about four years. Lobby is well maintained and staff is very friendly. The breakfast was served on time with plenty of choices of food in a very clean area. What is disappointing was no room service during a five day stay (granted, including a National Holiday, but do it before or immediately after). Further, the hotel appears to be privately owned and run by one family. The interior of the rooms require updating (toilet bowl was glued together from previous damage, bathtub was "refinished" but the coating was coming off during each shower and there were numerous unpainted "dings" in the room walls which detract from the appearance of the interior and part of a wooden 2X4 under the A/C unit). It's OK, I guess for a one night stay, but I think I'll be looking for somewhere else on my next trip through. With some corporate investment, this place would be really nice again.
