Found a dirty mug of mouldy tea/ coffee on the windowsill in the room, so room hadnt been cleaned properly as this would have been a while It was ok for a few hours sleep

Booked to stay for 2 nights. Receptionist was the rudest person ive ever encountered upon arrival. Fair play to the gentleman on reception the next day. Was polite and helpful but unfortunately the problems was already mounting. Not only on arrival was the receptionist extremely rude. Then we went into our room, the sheets were stained with what looked like urine. Went back to reception for the same rude woman to tell me i was lying and was refusing for 10 mins for an alternative duvet /duvet cover. Had no TV remote, asked the receptionist again when went to speak regarding sheets. She said shed bring a remote. Didnt get one, got one the next day when spoke with the polite gentleman. Overall a truly awful stay.

The staff was not the problem, they were courteous. The rooms did not give you the comfort of being clean. There were dirty sheets. The bathroom had scam scale on the walls, and the room had a misty moldy smell.

Room not hovered , sand and glitter on floor in bedroom area , bathroom floor had workboot footprints , no bodywash or shower gel , this was empty , tea coffee not restocked . We have stayed numerous times before and never experienced this . Are standards failing ?
