Having read some of the previous reviews, I arrived with managed expectations. On the pro side, the staff were very friendly, the location very convenient and surprisingly quiet, and the bed comfortable. On the con side, the carpet and furniture (and even the floor boards) were worn, the bathroom was cold, and the shower confusing. It looks like some of the other rooms have been renovated, so with a little extra care, this could be a nice place to stay.

Everything was good about hotel maybe the only thing was our heating didnt work in room but we did have a heater that plugs in socket so that kept the room cosy, it was central to all shops and bars, staff lovely. Will be back to visit again xx

Ended up getting room 115 & the outside was extremely noisy with people shouting outside from the bar. I telephoned reception to be moved to another room & was told that was not possible due to being fully booked. Toilet chain would not flush. When I handed the key back to receptionist upon checking out I was asked how was your stay. I explained the situation & was told it would be looked into. Still waiting…
