We booked a Deluxe King room with Expedia however a few days prior to our trip we received an email from The Arcadian that stated we were in a Queen Accessible. I called Expedia immediately and they assured me we would be getting a King room. The Expedia rep told me to call them if there was a problem. When we got to The Arcadian they told me there was no King room available. I showed her my paperwork from Expedia that clearly showed we booked a King Room but she continued to say we were in a Queen. I called Expedia and they still said we had a King. They called and spoke with the woman but she still refused to give us a King or refund any of our money. She told us we could take the Queen or cancel our reservation. She even told me to hand up on the Expedia representative. We will not stay here again. The housekeepers were nice and did a great job.
I really liked the hotel overall, but the phone reception in our room was non existent. I had to go out into the common area and talk on my phone. Most of the time I could not send or receive texts either. I have an iPhone and my sister who was with me has an android and she was having the same issues. Maybe it was our carrier which is Verizon, but it was very frustrating.
There was no natural light which I knew about and I was okay with that. However, it would be nice if there was brighter lighting in the room to make up for no natural lighting. Other little issues were that when linen was brought to the room they would take out our washcloths and not leave any new ones. That was odd. Other than those little issues the hotel was in a great location. Felt very safe and it was right on the train line. The hotel was not right in the mix of things but it was close enough that you didn’t have to travel too far. For us it was walkable to Fenway park which we did. Overall I would stay here again. Just some minor little issues.
Check in was simple. Staff was very friendly. We were very disappointed in the room we had. Staff quickly resolved and we couldn't be happier. Parking was very very frustrating. Entrance not clearly marked. Circled the building twice, had to go back inside to be told that the entrance was around the bend that couldn't be seen. Then there is the trying to gt out or in with the gates...just be prepared. Once you figure it out you are set.

I was there for 2 nights for a nearby workshop. Location was good. Temperature control was not working in my room. There was no phone in the room so I had to do to the front desk at 11:30pm. Result was to just shut the unit off so as not to have the noisy unit running constantly. I chose not to have maintenance return for my stay was short, room was comfortable and I wanted to sleep and not have the noisy running. The hotel served my purpose but would not return.
Very good location. Rail system right out door. Walkable to Fenway. Good restaurants in area. Good continental breakfast options.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Don’t get interior. I wish I knew that meant no windows, old ac system, noisy hallways, etc. free breakfast is parties and bread no protein (eggs/meat).
The front desk staff is helpful and warm. The maids cleaned my room around 3:15 which sucked after coming from a long day of work. They also failed to clean effectively and leave rags/refill toilet tissue.
This was an awful experience at a hotel. The hotel seems like a poorly remodeled motel, the AC did not work, temps stayed at 76-77. The elevator did not work, and the rooms seemed moldy, could smell it and feel it in the room. The rooms are not easily listed, signage was poor to find the rooms. The only nice thing is the entrance coming in.

Liked: Cleanliness
It was decent. No vending machines per the front desk. There were no snack options. The rooms were not very comfortable. It was not a convenient location.
Great location. Close to Fenway Park and Coolidge Corner. Great and clean rooms. Comfortable beds and tons of space inside the room for walking and moving about.
Disappointing Stay – Would Not hRecommend
I really wanted to like The Arcadian Hotel, but our experience left a lot to be desired. For starters, the bathroom was uncomfortable—the toilet was unusually low and we had no clean floor towels, so we ended up stepping onto a wet floor every time we got out of the shower.
The room itself felt neglected. There was visible peeling paint, and when we needed assistance, the room phone didn’t work. We had to physically walk down to the front desk just to get help—completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
There were no real amenities offered, and to top it off, housekeeping knocked on our door well before check-out time, making us feel rushed to leave.
Unfortunately, the hotel felt more like a budget motel than the boutique experience it advertises. Definitely not worth the money—we won’t be staying here again.
The hotel itself was lovely. We enjoyed the ambiance and charm. It was close to restaurants, all within walking distance. The only thing that was upsetting was the sleeping accommodations. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the toilet was so low, if you have back or knee issues you will have problems.
The check in was not great. I had called a week ahead and requested a late check in after midnight due to flight was a late flight. I had reserved a double queen room, when I got to the hotel the lady behind the desk was very unfriendly and basically said she did. It have a double queen room the only thing she had was a king suite. I told her that was not what I had reserved and she basically said “ well that’s all we have you have options you can stay in that rooom or go somewhere else and stay. ( it was 1am) so that was not an option. We took the king suite but first thing in the morning my husband went to desk and asked if there was a double queen available and a different lady stated there would be after lunch and she would reserve it for us. Other than that the stay at the Arcadian was great. The front desk girl who works the late shift needs a little customer service training.
If we come back to Boston we would stay there again. Beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet and easy to get around town with the T being so close.
