The rooms were adequate, though the cleanliness could be improved, and the decor is appalling! We didn't have breakfast there, but did eat dinner in the restaurant - in fact invited Auckland family to join us. We figured roast and lamb shanks of the day would be safe choices - we were wrong. The meat - pork, lamb and lamb shanks were tough and chewy. The gravy is 'packet gravy', and even the vegetables were just frozen ones (and not heated up evenly). Overall, barely edible yet the prices were the equivalent of a decent restaurant. A disappointing finale to our New Zealand adventure.

Spacious room and nice size comfortable bed at an excellent price. Lovely fridge and tea facilities in room. Hairdryer labelled on drawer but wasn’t available? Couldn’t operate the tv, the remote didn’t control it? Small details could be improved like dusty headboard and wallpaper/lining coming away from wall by the window and old carpet could be replaced. Had an overall satisfied and good rest :)

Staff were awesome, location great! Check-in 24/7. Bench top was sticky when I arrived, and there was no bin in my room. Walls are thin, you can hear everything. However, if you're doing a late night airport run, this place will do the trick.

We booked here as we had to be at the airport at 4am and wanted to try and get some sleep before the early start. People (who appeared to maybe work here) laughed and shouted all night, we we got up to leave at 4am they were still up and talking loudly outside a fire door (hence why I think they were staff as it wasn't an accessible area. Would not stay here again.

Friendly, helpful service. Probably a flash place in the 70s, now very tired and hard to keep clean. But linen and bathroom were clean. Concrete floors in halls made for loud echoing noise, otherwise it was pretty quiet for the location. We chose it because it was cheap and the quality reflected that. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

I guess we got what we paid for.. the room was not very nice.. holes in the walls.. and the toilet kept us awake most of the night as it was running all night. Went to make a coffee in the morning no spoons! How ever staff were very friendly and helpful.
