Given the hotel’s excellent reviews, I was looking forward to my stay here, understanding that the concept of the hotel was to give you limited but well thought out amenities. What I found was a little more complicated. First, to start with the positive: the hotel is very well situated across from Palmer Square, which offers a lot of shopping, including a 24hour CVS, and is very well connected to public transportation. A long pleasant walk, short bus ride, or very short T ride connects you to Harvard Square. I found the bed to be exceptionally comfortable, water pressure was good, and the room was a comfortable size for a single traveler. The front desk staff was very friendly during business hours, and management gave me a Now to start with the reasons I gave the hotel a mixed review. The night staff seemed significantly less friendly. In-room amenities were limited (I had to specifically request a luggage rack and shower cap), and there is no minibar or mini fridge. They seem to be running the hotel with a skeleton housekeeping crew, so housekeeping is only available upon request and no one is available to address housekeeping issues after hours. The hotel apparently uses water softener to counteract the hardness of the local water and seemingly overcorrected

Nice property right across from a T line entrance. Rooms are very nice. My only complaint is that there is a lot of street noise and we could hear the people on the floor above walking around. Earplugs solved the noise issue, though. Staff is very nice.

Excellent location and clean, quiet. But the elevator was out for some of my 5 day stay. And I am 73 and on the 3rd floor. Also, you had to ASK for your room to be cleaned daily. Otherwise it was not. Even clean towels would have been nice.

The Porter subway station is close to the hotel. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The bed is comfortable. I would stay there again.

Very new property, the room is big, bed is comfortable, gym is good. Literally cross the street and you will reach Porter Square subway. Pretty accessible. Walking to Harvard Square is a leisure and enjoyable walk too. If I come back to Boston, will definitely stay here again.
