For the price, it was amazing. A beautiful part of Boston and easy access to amenities. Parking was not too bad, but it was expensive because it was a garage. The room itself was a bit beat up, but that didn’t really matter because I didn’t spend a lot of time there. So if you’re just visiting at sightseeing and not staying there, I would recommend it.

Knowing what I was getting into based on the reviews of previous guests, I was not shocked by the state of the hotel. I will say though I did not feel at ease staying there by myself. There was no way for me to bolt the door, and while it automatically locks on the outside when it’s closed, having the additional security would have been reassuring. The private suite was cleaned but not thoroughly (a previous guest’s claw clip was on the floor). Clean towels and sheets were provided. I enjoyed having my own oven, fridge, and microwave to myself, which to me is worth paying slightly more for. There were plenty of cups, bowls, plates, and utensils to use. It would elevate the aesthetic of this hotel if they took the time to make small repairs and clean the walls/touch up paint. The elevator was sketchy but I didn’t mind using it. The TV worked fine too. The hosts were very responsive and kind, and I wouldn’t mind staying again.

Housekeeping staff promptly met my requests for room cleaning to remove dust from blinds. Hot water came on eventually. Sheets and towels were clean. However, the entire hotel is both dirty (for example, carpets need a deep clean) and shabby. Shabby is OK, it’s not a big deal to have worn or out-of-date furnishings, but the grimy rugs and broken fixtures indicated lack of attention by managers to fundamentals.

Easy to find, great area to stay for a show, late night bar/restaurant across the street-was quiet as a neighbor but we were able to eat & drink after a concert. Shared bathroom was always accessible when we wanted it. Bring your own toiletries-I don’t know why I didn't think of that. Room was so much bigger than we expected. Beds were very comfortable, tv was plenty big enough to enjoy. Full kitchen was also available to us which I didn’t realize we would have! Nice feature.

For a shared bathroom, it was rarely (if ever?) cleaned. For the three days we were there, the hand soap was never refilled. Loud upstairs neighbors stomping around at all hours. Too mattress on the bed did not line up with the bottom mattress/box spring and it was constantly falling off.

I booked a queen bed and only had a full. Honestly, it didn't even seem like a full size. In addition to be too small for myself and spouse since we're both very tall, the bed sunk in the middle. Even more frustrating is they promised to check on the situation when we left and claimed that the bed was a queen. I have pictures proving the size. The building location was great. It seemed ok and we had no issues accessing the unit. We did have to wait five minutes for a distillery located in the basement to unload grains the elevator. This place was bare bones. We booked cheap because we figured we were only going to sleep there anyway. Unfortunately, we really didn't get to sleep there since we didn't fit on the bed. There was a two seat chair that I was able to sleep on in a fetal position. I do not recommend this property to anyone over 5'6" or a BMI over 20.

The best thing about this place is the location. It is a half block from Boston Common and close to all the stores and restaurants in the downtown. Boston is a walking town, and from here, you can cover so much ground if you have good legs. The entry system was very good, and the management is very responsive to questions or needs. I was in a 6th floor studio apartment, which had everything I needed for a short stay. The whole building including the elevator (that only goes to 5th floor) is old and creaky, but this is downtown Boston. The toilet ran continuously the first day but as soon as I contacted the manager, it was fixed immediately. Unfortunately the 6th floor clothes washer was beyond repair, but the manager gave me the code to the 5th floor, and I was able to get my clothes washed and dried before I left for my next destination. As you can see from the photos, decor is not what makes this place stand out. It was definitely the location and price that sold me. There is a fair amount of city noise with garbage trucks and a bus stop below the building and impatient Boston drivers honking senseless behind them as they do their thing. All in all, I would stay here again under similar circumstances. One more thing, the shower was a pest with alternating hot and cold water that I could never to get figured out.

very good location, close to China Town with various good dining options. Also walking distance to many attractions. Clean room with a kitchenette. On arrival, the hot plate was not working and there was no kettle. Upon request, the issues were resolved the next day. It can be noisy some nights as it is close to the main street. Overall, it is a very good choice.

The room was clean and in good condition however the TV had very poor reception and the AC unit was a complete distraction through the night. The bathrooms need some work. Hot water was not available at times. The hallway carpets are in poor shape. The location is great. The communication is great.

Loved the apartment - would stay again

Great location downtown; perfect for sightseeing on foot. I felt safe as a solo female traveller. Excellent communication from property management - speedy and helpful when i had a question or repair. Well eqipped kitchen; also iron, hairdryer provided. Extremely comfortable bed - i slept brilliantly. Light sleepers should note there is some noise from the street/buses passing below.

The elevator was broken for the entirety of my stay and there was no communication about it prior to my stay. I was on the sixth floor and me and my two guests had to make multiple trips up carrying suitcases up the stairs. The couch was sat on one time and on the first sit one of the legs broke so the couch was unusable for the entirety of the stay.

This was more like a hostel than a hotel and there was no staff on site, which showed. The shared bathrooms were terrible with peeling wallpaper, rust, and generally didn't look like there was much upkeep besides basic cleaning. There was a random pvc pipe opening to nowhere sticking out in our room and the mini fridge was plugged into an extension cord. The area was central to downtown boston but given the property, I would rather rent something further out than this place again.

A good cheaper option for Boston! Right across from boston common/public gardens. Walking distance to everything. Shareable bathrooms were a little outdated, but everything worked. Rooms were clean and beds were super comfy! Area outside of the hotel gets a little loud after dark, but every door requires a code which felt safe.
