Absolutely perfect location and stay to visit Cumberland Island! Location is great, rooms were very nice, and the staff was very friendly! Highly recommend the attached restaurant/bar and the band outside on the patio Saturday night was super entertainment. St. Mary's is a great place to visit!

Liked being down by the waterfront that was pretty clean. The restaurant saloon served great food. As expected with a historic hotel, the rooms were small with limited outlets room on the bedside table and no coffee in the room. Lovely porch rocking chairs. Be prepared to lug your suitcases upstairs. Bed was very comfy.

Quaint relaxing stay

Lovely quaint stay in a historic hotel. Beautiful location on the river, in the heart of this tiny town. Room was comfortable and clean, with old fashioned style.

Okay place

Neat historical building, needs a bit of TLC and furnishing replacements. Biggest issue was the noise, our room was adjacent to the bar and there was an ice machine that was constantly being used until 3:00 AM, they would slam the door on it and it made it impossible to sleep.

We loved this historic hotel. The owners take a lot of pride in the property and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfy and loved the porch!! The view is fantastic

Complete incompetence -- overpriced

Mixed me up with other employees who "stay over in unassigned rooms" Clerk switched me to room 12 which was not documented...got a knock on my door the next morning with good morning and WHO ARE YOU ?? Complete incompetence and the breakfast is a joke.

Old Historic Hotel that needs upgrades

Historic hotel that needs upgrades. Service was very good and the bar and restaurant are great. However, the room needed to be painted, the linens were dirty upon arrival, the mattress was bad, and the bathroom needed to be upgraded. It's a 2 star place.

This is a historic hotel and my husband and I over the years have stayed the night on our way to camp at Cumberland Island. This time friends and I stayed before and after the island trip at the hotel. So we were able to better focus on the hotel. The beds were marvelously comfortable and the dining room and hotel staff were excellent. Thanks!

It's an old fashioned hotel in a historic town. I'm usually just focused on getting to Cumberland island but we spent 2 nights this time at the hotel. The beds were marvelously comfortable and the meals were excellent. The staff were great. Thanks so much!
