The hotel is extremely old and dated. It’s all torn up. Carpet was awful rips dirty nasty. The lobby stairwell is up to rooms. All night staff was talking loudly in the lobby. I had to call and ask them to be quiet because they woke me up. I left a trash bag outside my door and the staff ignored it. It was sitting out there all day. The only staff that was helpful, was Khalil The only real bonus about this hotel is the airport shuttle There is no way this hotel is more than two stars. Please hotels.com rate accordingly and accurately.

We stayed at the Sonesta ES suites for 10 nights while in San Francisco for a medical procedure (kidney donation). The property met akk our needs for our stay and we appreciated the full kitchen and the ability to cook our meals in our room while I was recovering. But don’t expect anything over and above. This is right on the flight path of the San Francisco airport so airplanes fly overhead approximately every five minutes. Staff is noisy and will often be outside your room, shouting into walkie-talkies. The breakfast was decent but same hot options every day. We only received housekeeping two days in our 10 day stay. And the spa was under repair for eight of our 10 days. The airport shuttle is convenient, but doesn’t run super efficiently so make sure to book 4 hours in advance for departures. Also learned on the last day that their shuttle would take people to the hospital, which would’ve been nice if they would’ve told us that when we checked in on night one. All in all, met our needs but don’t expect any red carpet treatment!

The front desk staff was very helpful and accomodating. I arrived around 11pm and he even called a few minutes after I checked in to make sure I had gotten into my room safely as I was a woman traveling alone. The room itself was fine, although the sink was not draining properly and overall I just felt the room could have felt a little more sanitized. There was a slightly funny smell and some hair (not mine) on the bathroom floor. I had a very early flight out of SFO and again, the night manager gave me a wake up call without me having to ask because he was aware of my early flight.

Room was huge. Bigger than some studios in NYC. Breakfast buffet was perfect. Pretty quiet. Didn't like I had to pay $10 a night for parking but that is cheaper than other places. No elevator so lugging luggage up a flight can be difficult. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at Sonesta ES Suites San Francisco Airport San Bruno. The room was a very good size, comfortable, and well-equipped with a full kitchen, which made things really convenient. The location was ideal—close to the BART station and a supermarket—and we always felt safe and secure. Parking was also reasonably priced compared to many other hotels in the area. The only downsides were that our room had a bit of a musty smell at first, likely from a previous guest who may have smoked, and the pull-out bed was only really suitable for a child, not an adult. Overall, though, we were very happy with our choice and would stay here again.
