We went for my partners 40th birthday and their attention to detail the whole week was nothing short of amazing! They went above and beyond and provided a birthday cake on his birthday. We had a great time and can’t wait to return!

Food was a stand out, and bartender Aaron was amazing! Swim up bar pool was too cold, ocean water was never clear always murky. Watched bears game at sports bar and had awful service (no joke 45 min for a can of beer) lady was nice but wow! Little inconsistencies, leaving bath salts for the spa tub but only once in a week. Resorting mini bar request to suddenly not, then calling for specific non alcoholic drinks that never came after told on their way. The excellence club is just a type of room, but people treat it like some extra special thing, anyone can book it and all Rooms are identical so essentially lay 1-200 a day extra for a restaurant, great place but essentially paying for the food in your room price. Any delivered drinks beach or pool Is also very slow, ended up walking to the bar when needs something. Wish had more day activities that wasn’t just volleyball and blackjack, mid day band would been nice. But food keeps this as a great stay, rooms amazing and the minor issues fade away. Likely try their other locations in hope for better ocean, other items are lay for the course when this big and busy.

The resort was fabulous we loved being there. It wasn’t crowded always loungers open. Food was amazing!!! The Mexican restaurant was the best. There was full bottles of rum and vodka and wine in the mini bar Would go back. No complaints

Clean rooms, friendly & attentive staff, amazing pools. There are 15+ dining options, small portions but all delicious. The water sports (we did scuba diving) offered on site are safe and memorable. Only downside was the beach view, rather lackluster. Everybody we spoke to that had been to several Cancun resorts said the Excellence is easily the best, and they’re right. Highly recommended for honeymoon, anniversaries, or trips with friends.

The service was exceptional. We upgraded to Club level upon arrival (for a hefty fee, of course). We felt it was worth the cost for the upgrades: access to Club level heated pools, additional restaurant and bars that offer elevated food and cocktail options. The Club area on the beach had plenty of shaded cabanas. This is a quiet resort, which is perfect if you just want to relax. For those seeking a lot of activity and entertainment, it may not be a perfect fit.
