if you have any doubts about where to stay, look no further. i had a wonderful time at the Excellence Riviera. Their app made things extremely easy and convenient for us. the staff is just amazingly nice and respectful. no one got sick, which was our worry. the food was alright, definitely not the best but we didn’t starve. drinks were tasty and the bartenders were always kind when we asked for extra shots in the drinks. just book here :)

I booked the private shared vehicle on Expedia and paid 120$ ( transformation from airport to resort - back and forth) and somehow when I reached cancun, maxico, it was not showing under itinerary on Expedia , like suddenly disappeared and I had to paid extra 200$ for transportation as well.

This is our second time staying at an Excellence resort. Staff and service were friendly, helpful and responsive. Food was great, especially the mushroom risotto at Flavor Market. Our housekeeper was so kind and efficient and left us cute little animals made from towels. The only downside was the AC not working in the room for two nights and the plunge pool auto draining and not filling up for two days. Staff was able to resolve the AC issue for one night but the plunge pool issue was not resolved.

Really liked the dining options and that once you learned how to navigate the dining system for dinner, you didn't have to be concerned with reservations. The food quality for an all-inclusive was actually good on average and I would say above average overall. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Pool drink service was non-stop! Beach area was beautiful and pool activities staff was happy and cheerful. Whoever designed the bathroom in the room was an idiot! The separate toilet room is literally 32" wide and only deep enough to sit on the toilet. When you get up from the seat, you have to make sure you won't hit your head on the bar from the door. It has a separate huge shower and a huge area for double sinks. Why they didn't take some of that area for the toilet room is beyond me. There are no bars in the toilet room so I can see that an elderly person may have difficulty getting up off the toilet! Stupid architect!! I have been going to Mexico all-inclusives for over 20 years and I would recommend this resort and would go back.

Great stay. Food was good, not great, but certainly better than the majority of all inclusive resorts we have stayed in. The excellence collection is always solid and we have yet to have a bad stay in any of the ones we have visited.
