We’ve stayed at many resorts, and while this one wasn’t terrible, it also wasn’t great—it just wasn’t for us. This review isn’t meant to discourage anyone, but rather to offer an honest take so others can decide for themselves. That said, one thing I can’t stress enough: the staff here are some of the hardest working people I’ve ever encountered. Their dedication and kindness really helped carry the experience. The food was your typical resort fare—not bad, not amazing—but there were several options. Room service is available 24/7, but the menu was limited and just okay. Our go-to spots were the steakhouse and the sports bar. A few downsides: our in-room water was never refilled during our four-day stay. We had to repeatedly ask for more, which got old quickly. We also didn’t feel the Star Class upgrade was worth it—the main “perk” was access to top-shelf liquor, which you’re better off grabbing at duty-free on your way in. Trust me, bring your own bottled water too—you’ll thank me later. The drinks were very weak and watered down. If you’re traveling with kids, there’s a lot for them to do. We stayed on the family side in a swim-out suite, and I definitely recommend requesting a dehumidifier at check-in—it’ll come in handy. The beach was gorgeous and there was plenty of seating. However, check-in was a bit chaotic. We waited nearly an hour before getting into our room. We also never received the coupon booklet I’ve seen others mention, and the Expedia bracelet we got wa

This was our first visit to Cancun and loved it! The only complaint was the beach area. We went out to the beach after breakfast one morning to spend the day, and there were dirty dishes you could tell were from the night prior on almost all the Planet Hollywood chairs, along with sand all over them. None of them had been cleaned. We went right back up to the pool area to spend the day. No other guests were down there. This was about 8 a.m.

We just got back from planet Hollywood and we had the best stay!! The grounds were beautiful with a white sand beach. Our room was clean and nice and cool(almost cold) and didn't have any issues with dampness. The food was great but the main positive of this resort was the staff. They were all absolutely amazing!! Friendly, attentive and engaged!! We would definitely consider returning to this resort in the future!!

Great family resort with lots of activities. Food was good just about everywhere. The only downsides we had were: -making reservations for dinner was tough, and when we did eat at the restaurants they were not full -beautiful room with lots of issues (broken shower knob, broken shower heads, clogged shower drain, broken coffee maker, broken toilet, leaking and loose faucets. The good news is the staff fixed everything quickly.

I recently stayed at Planet Hollywood Resort and had a mixed experience. The resort itself is clean and visually appealing, but there were a few letdowns. The food was underwhelming overall—lacking in flavor and variety. Some staff members were fantastic and really went above and beyond, while others seemed disinterested or unmotivated. I was also surprised by the limited range of activities available, which made the days feel a bit repetitive. It’s a decent place to relax, but I expected more from a resort with such a big name.

Servicio de recepción estupendo, super serviciales y atentos. Concierge de Hoteles.com o Expedia Jose Luis Pérez nos atendió de maravilla, nos explico beneficios por ser clientes de Expedia, todos los días nos busco para ver si necesitabamos algo. Servicio de Restaurantes excelente, todos muy atentos, la comida muy buena y variada. En la playa nos atendieron muy bien, nos instalaron una sombrila ya que todas estaban ocupadas, el personal del bar de adultos muy divertido, la pasamos muy bien. La habitación espectacular, muy limpia. En general todo super bien. Luisa de Entrenimiento tambien nos atendió a todo dar. Hay actividades en el dia y por la noche muy padre la fiesta Mexicana con Mariachis. En general el personal del área de adultos al 100%. Hernan del restaurante de pescados y mariscos muy servicial al igual que Felipe del área de Buffet, los chavos del Sunset estupendo su trato. Lastima que uno tiene que volver a la realidad. Prior to arrival we got no assistance from PH guest services - they referred all our enquiries to ‘Expedia Rep’ who did not reply to us . HOWEVER - once we checked in , our Expedia Guest Services Rep - Jose Luis was amazing ! Anything we needed we would text the PH App /Guest services or Luis would take care of .The reason for 4 star is the sit down restaurants - the staff in the restaurants are not the same high caliber of customer service as the guest services or housekeeping. The sit down restaurants were ok.Teppanyaki was excellent.Make sure u ask your Rep or Guest services to book your dinners upon check in .There were frustrated guests who couldn’t book theirs on App. We got all the restaurants and u are allowed to go duplicate times . Buffet was good - nice variety - same challenges as other All-Inclusives : go early for the watermelon , it clears out quickly and they limit how much per seating they put out. Seating around pool - go early to get your chairs - like 7am . Beach had lots of chairs and umbrellas . We had swim out room in building 31 ,the closest location to pool / beach - highly recommend this room type - cabanas / loungers on a large patio . Super humid, sheets were wet . Ask for Dehumidifier, helped. Entertainment was really good - lots of thought put into the shows . Drinks were ok - stick to cocktails and beers , can’t avoid the sugar in any of their blended drinks unfortunately. But common issue w all inclusives. Overall loved the resort !
