The resort is beautiful with more than enough to do. The staff was attentive and friendly. Everyone was helpful with our son's Spanish. The rooms were spacious. The mini fridges do not get too cold. Be mindful of that if you need to store medication. They do have guest services that can store medication for you. This is why I could not give five stars. It was difficult getting towels daily. You can request them in the app, but no one was responding in the app. Same thing with the replacement of a mini fridge. I had to call twice and request in the app and it took all day and by that time, my medication was no longer cold. We were told the mini fridge is not meant to reach those temperatures. But that first one was broken because the drinks were hot to the touch. Lastly, we were offered extra resort credits to attend an informational session to learn about the brand and to buy the vacation membership. We were told it was not a timeshare, but it sure feels like one. A lot of fast talking and scribbling on notepads upside down. Once you reach your 1.5 hours obligation, let the people go. The pushy sales approach is a turnoff. Lastly, we checked out and a lady approached us again for one last attempt and we are trying to catch a plane. That was the last straw for me. I must have giving her the face of no return because she stepped aside. I would like to mention Cecelia was awesome. She was very attentive to our needs. Fix the app. The entertainment does not show in the agenda.

Main problem: Very few Vegetarian and Vegan options for each meal. TV in room not working. Staff not trained well to fix technical issues. 6 diff technicians came to fix the TV and none spoke English so was very frustrating. Phone in room had problem. Only speaker worked and not the handset. Map of property was complicated. Almost all guests were getting lost. Resort credit is a joke. Complete rip off. They should kill that program or give decent stuff for guests to buy things.

Room service is below average. Room not made up timely. Sometime fogot to put new towels. Found a cockroach. Food is also below average. Not that many protein options. Service is also bad. For buffet you still need to wait every time with wide empty space. Very often short of plates. Hotel layout is horrible. Spread out long building with a lot of walking. Golf cart transportation is great though. The place is so big and guests are scattered so you don’t feel the resort vibe. Some shows are good. Beach is not good either. Very narrow without any activities. After you check out, a lot of sales will try to sell membership to you. They should put those people to do real work and improve service quality. If you are the first time coming to Cancun, it might seem ok for you. We have been there for more than 10 times, and this is the worst.

The room was in pretty condition but attention to detail was lacking. Some days without housekeeping, dirty linens, not what I would expect from the grand. The service staff was super attentive but the management lacked professionalism. Some restaurants were great like Jade and Habibi, but buffets and the cafe took a long time. They ran out of things like towels, dishes, bacon...not a deal breaker but not what I would expect at the high price point

When we got to our room the patio had an ant infestation. I called and asked them to spray and replace our lounge cushions. They came and spayed. I called, went in person and used their app the next 4 days asking them to clean up the dead ants and replace the cushions. They finally did this 12 hours before we were to leave. The shower had mold and there were dead bugs by the sink when we arrived. They did not replace the wet towels in our room and one day we came back from the beach to shower with no towels anywhere. It's impossible to get a reservation at the restaurants and when we did our kids food arrived 25 minutes before ours was ready. I have asked for compensation because we saved so much for this trip and they made it so difficult. I can't get anyone to get back to me. Cancún is lovely but I will never stay at a palace resort again which is sad because they used to be our go to before kids.

Two things in particular 1) The service and food at Agra restaurant was terrible. 2) I experienced a particular guest being rude towards us at the coco shop by the beach, I would request that resort management takes some measures against such guests to avoid other guests facing same issues.
