This was my second time staying at the Mere Hotel and although it was lovely last summer the tolietries from London were a pleasant surprise this time around. Everything was fantastic except for the potential of a car break-in in their small parking lot. Beware there aren't enough spots but it is worth taking a chance for the view and the plentiful food options.
Clean, great shower, restful atmosphere and great location.

The hotel is beautiful the area is beautiful but there is limited parking for any guess. The homeless had tents set up between the property and the river, there was no microwaves in the room whick would have been handy on more than one occasion. They did have security walking around and it was well let outside so you didn't feel unsafe. Loved the walking paths and easy access to restaurants.
The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The views where amazing. The down fall was no microwave whick would have came in handy on more than one occasion. The restaurant next to the hotel was busy so couldn't get a seat reserved for 6 people till late in the evening. But room service came fast and it was delicious.
The hotel management needs to staff reception properly. One person is not enough to deal with phone calls, check-ins, and the typical questions guests have about parking, where to eat, etc.
Room was spacious, well-designed, with a very comfortable bed.
It's important that potential guests know that though this listing says 'parking available', parking is severely limited (around 20 parks for a 67-room hotel) which means the driveway is chronically crowded with people trying to park, and it cannot be relied upon. As a result I had to circle the block searching for an available street park, and overnight my window was smashed in on my rental car on the street. The hotel really needs to sort out a better system for parking - advertising 'parking available' is not much use to guests that need reliable and secure parking during their stay.
