Our group enjoyed the one-night stay at Virginia Palace Hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. They got our room configurations correct and the rooms were clean and comfortable. All of the staff we encountered (front desk staff at check-in and check-out and breakfast service staff) were very friendly and quick to assist. We were disappointed to find that the in-house restaurant is closed on weekends as we were looking forward to eating at the hotel after more than 24 hours of travelling. However, the front desk attendant recommended a nearby restaurant that turned out to be excellent as well.

Do NOT stay at this hotel unless you have your own car. There is nothing good close by within easy walking distance. We stayed for 3 days and the hotel restaurant and laundry service was closed the whole time. The breakfast was basic. The train station is 3 kilometres away. Then we had a dispute with a taxi driver when we were leaving. We asked the hotel to ring a taxi, they said yes, wait out the front. We waited and the taxi took about 15 mins. When the taxi arrived, he already had 33 euro on the meter! He said if he comes from far away, he starts the meter then. The man at the front desk should have known this problem. We had to argue with the taxi driver and the man at the desk spoke to him but did not help. I blame the taxi driver and the hotel, they should have known about this problem. We had to pay the taxi driver 30 euro to leave, otherwise he was going to call the police. The counter did not help their guests. Do NOT stay at this hotel unless you want to be very isolated and not helped by the staff, and i will never get a taxi in Italy again.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay whilst going to the Italian Formula1 Grand Prix The receptionists all could not have been more helpful and obliging They were excellent at sorting out Taxis for us with Guiseppe and Salvador’s who were fantastic drivers without whom would never have managed to get about The only thing I could fault the hotel for was that there were No yea/coffee making facilities in the rooms

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Virginia Palace Hotel. The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous, all staff were friendly, helpful and polite. There is secure and free car parking at the hotel. The huge shopping centre at Arese is just 6 minutes drive away and should not be missed. We were in Italy primarily for business, but found the hotel ideally located for sightseeing and travelling to the lakes on our recreational days.

Our stay was nice. The meals and staff were excellent. The only issue was a noisy guest above us who was up at 3am making it difficult to get a good nights sleep.
