Stunning Stono River Guesthouse w/ Scenic Water Views & Pool

Contemporary one bedroom apartment overlooking the beautiful intracoastal waterway. The roughly 1,000 square foot unit has a master bedroom and large master bathroom with washer/dryer, a kitchenette, dining and living area with a balcony overlooking a swimming pool off the master bedroom. Guests will access the apartment via an elevator within a secure garage. Sunsets are magnificent from the dock and balcony. Enjoy fishing and crabbing from the dock, or just enjoy watching the yachts and sailboats in the river. Pls note: Pool is closed between NOV 1st and mid/APR each year.
There's a private balcony or patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Premium Quality Stay

The excellence of this space and attention to detail was incredible! I very much appreciate the thoughtfulness that was undertaken by the owners from beginning to end. Much to our surprise there was even a gift bag that had been left at our vehicle which was housed in a garage that was the perfect touch as we concluded our stay.My wife, Becky & I had a nice visit with Dinos upon our arrival and were made to feel quite at home. Our daughter had booked this location for us last year while visiting her in Georgia. What a magnificent accommodation awaited us as we unloaded our car and made our way to our living quarters. We were celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary and who could have known when we booked this VRBO almost 1 year prior that we would find such a wonderful place to stay. We neither one had been to South Carolina in our married life before April, 2025. Dinos gave us some recommendations regarding eating establishments that we might enjoy, and we found them to be exactly what we had hoped for.If South Carolina is your vacation destination you could not go wrong booking this location for your stay.Respectfully submitted,Richard & BeckyIOWA

Great riverside getaway

My partner and I enjoyed the riverside getaway just outside of downtown Charleston. The property itself is in a great neighborhood, beautiful, and only about 15-20 min from anywhere you would typically to explore in Charleston. The place has everything you need for a stay whether it be the beach or just enjoying the town. Highly recommend!

Peaceful spot in a beautiful neighborhood

The location is perfect. Comfortable, safe neighborhood. Right on the water. Friendly, accommodating hosts and a beautiful house / guest house. Would easily recommend this to anyone out there looking for a stay a short drive away from downtown.

Sono River Hideaway

This is a wonderful guest house with hosts fully committed to making their guest’s stays as comfortable as possible. A clean and gracious set of spaces, elegantly decorated sitting on beautifully landscaped grounds, we enjoyed gorgeous sunsets on a lovely balcony and very comfortable spaces and beds.

I have stayed at many vacation rentals and this was one of the best for location, as described, and the hosts. The guest house has a super beautiful and relaxing backyard and it's super cute inside. The hosts are wonderful. It was very clean. Would highly recommend and stay here again!

Very relaxing property!

One of my best rental experiences ever! Cheree & Dinos met me when I arrived and thought of everything I needed. They even took the time to leave me a gift and note at the end of my stay. The view of the pool, oak trees and dock are very relaxing. I recommend walking out on the dock for a great view! I'll be back for sure.

wonderful stay

We really did enjoy our stay and our host Cherie & Dinos was great ! they made us feel welcomed the apartment was really clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the pool, fishing, crabbing and relaxing took the short ride to Folly Beach and shopping. We will be coming back this is the best rental VRBO has to offer. IT WAS GREAT !!

Relaxing getaway!

Cherie and Dinos were fantastic hosts! They answered all my questions promptly prior to and during our stay. The property was extremely clean and so comfortable! My husband I were thrilled with the size and comfort of the unit and the views of the river are simply gorgeous! Our friends staying at a hotel downtown were jealous of our place. This is in a residential neighborhood, about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston, Mt. Pleasant and Shems Creek, so we could eaily access everywhere we wanted to go. We also found several great dining options closer ro the home. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay away from the larger crowds and busy-ness of the city.

Best rental yet

We stayed here for 3 nights in June and it was magical. The guesthouse was pristine, so many little touches to make it feel like home. It felt so fancy and the view from the guest house of the lake and the pool was amazing. Hosts were so nice and welcoming and provided snacks and a goodie bag when we left. We fished and crabbed and swam and it was so relaxing. I was happy every second staying here.

Perfect Charleston Home-Away-From-Home!

We visited Charleston for a Girls vacay and friends’ wedding. The Stono River Guest House was a welcome oasis in hot and humid Charleston in June. The 10/10 reviews online are 100% true—from the location to the pool and water views, this stunning retreat was the perfect home away from home—And so beautifully decorated with the guests’ every need in mind. Cherie and Yanos are the most charming hosts. We will definitely be returning to their lovely home on our next trip to Charleston.

Mini Family Trip

This home is beautiful! The owners were super kind and quick to give dining recommendations and respond to any and all needs we had. Cleanliness is sooo important and this guest house had a fresh, clean smell starting when we first stepped into the elevator. Everything was clean & spotless! Owners even set up a small bed, beside ours, for our son. Remember this is a guest house that’s connected to the main house where the owners live. In the past we’ve always rented entire homes so this was a new experience for us. Privacy is super important for us to truly relax. I feel this was lacking in this rental. The listing states it’s a private pool but the home has a large amount of windows in the main house and guest house that face the pool and dock areas. We could see into the main house and rentals windows from the back yard (no blinds or curtains in many of these windows). Even though the owners could not have been more kind, it felt as if someone was always looking and checking in on what we were doing. We definitely disliked having hired workers in the driveway lying on the ground in front of our garage entrance and the workers on the roof playing music and watching my son and myself swimming in the pool. The docks damage/safety wasn’t found out by us until we walked on it at night which really put our sons and our safety at risk. Wish we were informed sooner. The dock was the main reason for choosing this rental and we only could use less than half of it 😞
