I love The Shining hallways. Also, we thought we heard lawyers arguing in the hall about 3:30 am, so idk maybe there's ghosts, but fantastic stay overall. Would definitely stay again and probably will. I love the old names on the doors! Great spacious rooms. Great view. Charming.

For starters; I love this hotel! I visit Gastonia often and this is my preferred place. Having said that, I understand why the rooms are small, but some things don't help; the coffee maker in the room is unnecessary if you keep it available in the lobby, which there was on Friday morning, but not Sat morning for some reason. It takes the space from the clothes hanging area. Next, it was quite cold and while there are heaters outside, we were not encouraged to use them...almost discoured, it seemed. These are just suggestions. I will stay again. No hotel is more beautiful.
