The room was disgustingly dirty. There was hair on the floor, dirt in the shower, hair in the sink and where the cutlery sat. The sheets were tattered, pillows were flat. The entire room needed a deep clean. The front desk associates were ok. Not too memorable. Breakfast was lackluster.

Bathroom exhaust broken, had to request for cooktop and tiny skillet. When I asked for a pot to heat soup, staff told me to microwave it. When I asked for a can opener, staff said to bring it down and he can “ghetto it”. I did and he couldn’t. I demonstrated the issue and asked for pliers so I can fix it myself. Fortunately other concierge staff member was wiser and sent housekeeping to replace can opener. When I asked day staff for printout of receipt of stay. Staff said it would be emailed. A simple yes/no should be the answer. Breakfast selection much to be desired and practically the same daily. Good location but concierge staff may need better training for customer service interaction. Housekeeping staff were great and responsive.

I believe the lobby should have more information of the second floor concierge. A lot of people coming does not know unless another person tell them. The staff definitely should take a course of how to treat guests or be fired. I met one person that was okay, but other attendants were rude, lack ou knowledge of the prices and did not treat guess well. Terrible experience. The room and other amenities are good.

When visiting Moody Bible Institute we stay here. Good walking distance and feel safe walking. Although the coffee is way too weak in the dining room.

Our room was nice and spacious. The Internet to our TV went out in the second day of our trip. They were not able to fix but did adjust our rate of the room. Upon returning home, we discovered lots of bites from clothes that we washed at the hotel. Assuming that there may be bed bugs in the washer because these clothes were not dried in the dryer. Be cautious when using the laundry as there are a lot of gues that come and go.

Declan provided extraordinary customer service! I was visiting Chicago for the Marathon and there were both runners as well as supporters staying at the hotel. Therefore, I understood the wait as some of us arrived prior to the 3:00PM(CST) check-in time. Declan recommended a plant-based restaurant and kept my luggage in holding while I walked to grab lunch. Now, the pictures that were online did not match the actual room. I had high expectations for the room condition as it was in the River North neighborhood as well as I just had an INCREDIBLE stay at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Medical District in Dallas, Texas. The Chicago room was in need of a paint job as well as deep clean. I travel with my own disinfectant wipes and Microbran disinfectant spray. The office chair appeared to not seen a wiped down in months. Finally, the toilet continued to run after I flushed it. However, I shared the issue with Declan and we I returned to the room, it was no longer running.
