DO NOT BOOK HERE

Absolutely not a 4-Star hotel. I feel so catfished by this place. DO NOT STAY HERE! The room was reminiscent of a 1970s men’s hotel. Very small with a wood slat bed and wall unit air conditioner. The bathroom was ill fitted and very tiny. It had a tub with no grab rails and no non-slip coating. Bob Saget death awaits you. The staff clearly does not have training in service and there are no bell staff. No one offered to help me with my luggage and out of 3 elevators only one was operational. Twice I had to climb 7 stories of stairs. I WILL NEVER RETURN! I will also be reporting this to Hyatt. The incidental hold was also $117.50 per night so for my two night stay I had a hold of $235.00 on my card. Absolutely egregious and unreal. Also, the fitness center was unusable with broken equipment.

I need this not to be relayed in specific. But, this morning,my 25lb poodle barked 3ft away from the naintence guy after he passed. It was one little bark for attentio .Your employee saud to me " you should keep your dog on a short leash, I almost kicked him" He explained he had been bit by a dog before. But, honestly, what?? What an aggressive thing to say to me. And, it's a 25lb poodle 3ft away from him.very unsettling reaction to a small dog by the front desk.

The hotel was great! Great location around other amenities. They had a cute little coffee shop within the hotel which provided espressos and snacks. The hotel has a very unique decor - old fashioned. From the main lobby up to the rooms. If you look closely you can catch how things were refurbished. Rooms were comfy and clean. Downfall - the comforters/blankets felt like sand paper. Very uncomfortable. Another negative - I called in for an early check-in. The person over the phone said i would have to do it as a walk in. Okay. Fine. I arrived an hour early to try and do an early check in. They had no rooms cleaned, so they took my name and number down when a room became available. We waited in the coffee shop for over an hour. At this point it was 10min past check in and we were notified that our room still wasn't ready. Luckily a manager came and assisted and either we got a small upgrade or rearraged rooms with someone else to get us in.. im not sure but i guess it all worked out. I also didn't like that there was no close parking unless you want to pay big bucks. We did find a in-and-out parking garage for cheap.

The Lincoln Hotel has a warm & welcoming staff. The hotel entrance has a great Chicago vibe! Our room was spacious & comfortable with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan & the Lincoln Park Zoo!
