Aside from check-in being a bit of a sham and WiFi not being quite as good as advertised, nothing really to fault about Heythrop. Beautiful building in an idyllic location. Beautifully maintained, inside and out. We had a ‘basic’ room I guess, but even this was fabulous. Super comfy beds, great shower, lovely view. Super relaxing. Was hesitant about the entertainment initially but far exceeded expectations. Excellent vocalists, slick performances, and the most incredible Magician on our second night. Food was varied and top quality. Ate in both the buffet style and served restaurants. Very impressed with both. Very high staff/customer ratio, all very friendly and attentive. Our first time here, and not our last.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Perfect position in Banbury. We particularly loved the sound of the church bells.... something you don't get to hear as often now.

Very centrally located, everything within walking distance. Quite a small room but very comfortable. Not all rooms have windows, we did, but could be a bit claustrophobic maybe if you were going to spend a lot of time in your room, but excellent as a base for seeing the sights. No restaurant or bar, but brunch bar just next door excellent and discount for guests of hotel. Lots of bars very close by.

We booked this place last minute and then I was worried after reading some of the reviews. I shouldn’t have worried at all! This is a lovely place to stay, huge room with great amenities, lots of parking and check in was easy. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Both were excellent with delicious and beautifully presented food and good service. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. We would stay here again.

The room was very clean and well-maintained as was the rest of the hotel even the stairway. Staff were very nice. Convenient location for us. We've stayed before so know the area. Good food options that are very near. We'd stay again.
