The room had absolutely no more than the bare necessities. The beds still had hairs and stains on them from the previous guests, and the hotel as a whole seemed very filthy. I found a used cleaning rag stuffed between my mattress and box spring. The pictures they have posted online look nothing like what the hotel is in person. I understand that hotels want their establishments to look nice, but the differences between online images and in-person experiences are stark and unsightly.
Our view from the window, the open dumpster right below our window did not smell nice in the summer heat.

Location was good and accessible however the condition of the room was poor. The room was absolutely sweltering hot compared to reception areas and the corridor. The shower head was broken and was spraying water out of the shower and flooded the bathroom floor. The free WiFi did not work. The beds were very uncomfortable. Disappointed with the hotel overall.

Everything was ok. The only thing I didn't like is having to go downstairs to reception just to use the iron as it seems to be one iron for everybody

Spotless clean room, working desk, great internet wireless, elevator working, very good heating and hot water. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice breakfast. Smoking area outside, even standing, but with wall asthray. Very good area in very short walking distance (max 250 meters) to kiosks, restaurants, bars. 4.5 km from main Cologne train station, a 10-12 euro by Uber. Great price on BB rate, and excellent value for money. Not luxury, to say this, and maybe in need to change some carpets etc and improve minor details, but spotless clean, at least the room I had and what else we saw during a night stay. It exceeded my expectations after reading the bad reviews, but maybe they had changes in management and personnel. Most glad I would book it again if I need an overnight stay in that area in Cologne (2.5 km from University Hospital of Cologne).

Comfortable value for money

Clean and comfortable room, bathroom very dated but clean…. Good value for money! Friendly staff! Breakfast was okay, not the best selection for dietary requirements I.e non dairy! Overall stay good!

Ruined Family holiday experience

We had the most horrific experience at this hotel. The room was without any form of ventilation. The only available had a sign that it was bad and not to be opened. The radiator was very hot with no temperature regulation. The Tv was not working, the bathroom was despicable with broken shower ( I made a video of it and can add it too if requested). I reported all the issues to the reception, though they saw reasons with me but said that they could do nothing, I requested for a change of room, was rejected but given information on hotel management email contact advised me to complain to about my experience which I did via email but got absolutely no response. We had a ruined family holiday experience.

The main thing for us was to have a nice bed and hot water. The distance to the main attractions was walkable and we felt safe walking through the neighborhood.

Avoid at all costs

Most basic and scruffy hotel ! Very little choice at breakfast, no tea or coffe facilities, in fact not much going for it at all. Seedy little place

give it a miss.

On Arrival was told by the staff we hadn't paid for our room. produced our receipt for the stay, after 20mins of him being on the phone telling us we couldn't have a room key he someone else turned up and sorted it, (original guy) then swore at me and my husband. room was run down and very worn out, bathroom was very small, and had alot of mould, was extremely loud all day and night.
