This is a historic inn in the heart of Concord, which is a delightful town with fine restaurants and shops, loaded with history. The Inn is a little worn in the carpet department but very charming. Main complaint: giant hard pillows made it hard to sleep comfortably.
The location in Concord was excellent - in fact, it seemed like the restaurant was one of the main hubs in town for visitors and locals alike. We ate in the restaurant twice (once in the tavern and then out on the front porch) and it was great! The only complaints I’d have for our stay are that, with any older building, the insulation is not up to par and you can hear your neighbors and street noises easily. The other issue was parking. It was very limited behind the building and street parking is not allowed at night. I’m not sure if there is an alternative lot anywhere else for overflow but we were lucky to snag a spot each night. Overall it was a good experience and we loved walking from the hotel to different stores, museums, and historic spots!

My reception Friday evening was not good. I was not told that I would be housed in the old part of the old inn. On the other hand, when it rained and rained, someone from the front desk went everywhere to find me an umbrella. There was no housekeeping during the weekend, but on the other hand my room was well cleaned when I arrived. The location, in the middle of the quaint town, was wonderful.
I think the front desk should offer a microwave or refrigerator when checking in. Would seem a good practice to start doing bc I had no idea and passed up getting food bc I just thought it wasn’t an option. The bathroom has zero place to put anything. I realize you’re trying to keep up with the colonial aesthetic of that period but the queen room we stayed in should have like a furniture sink instead of a pedestal sink. I was putting a towel in the sink and then putting my toiletry bag on top of that to get ready for the day. The huge plus is the coffee machine downstairs. Maybe some menus of the restaurants in the room.

Great location and ambience, but the facilities and amenities are close to inadequate. Our room was both noisy and less than totally comfortable.
Super clean! Front desk service was great. I went into the tavern to eat and was ignored, asked if I should sit wherever, was told yes and then ignored again so I left and ate elsewhere. Easy walk to all shops and just lovely town.
Had a great stay, wonderful old hotel with lots of history. The room was very nice, the bar and the food was great. An elevator would be handy but when the building is about 300 years old I guess it is was it is. Would definitely recommend this as a go to hotel.
