This property is very old and not well taken care of. If you look at the photos and expect your room to look like that, you will be very disappointed.

The hotel was old, charged luxury tax and high valet price but nothing luxury about it. It be ok if it was at least clean but there was a roach in the shower, the stove wasn’t cleaned from the previous guest, and a questionable stain on the pillow case, they don’t offer housekeeping until 3 days. We had to evacuate because the bldg next door was on fire and we saw the smoke from our patio door. So that was scary not knowing the source of the fire and just ran down 14 flights to safety. The overall experience did not meet my expectations. There was no need to report anything to management because there wasn’t anything they can correct anyway.

Very Dirty and not acceptable. We do not stay, we walked in and checked in the room and immediately left the property. The rooms are like a hostel and not acceptable for a family. The bathroom was disgusting, the couches and chairs were filthy. Wild not ever recommend anyone staying here.

There was roaches in the beds and all over the room “395”and hair in the bathtub. I went to Walmart to buy spray it helped a little but the roaches were coming out everywhere. I had to leave in the middle of the night and canceled my last night and asked for a refund. Of course they didn’t hesitate to give me the refund because I think they know they have a roach problem. Never staying there again

The hotel is old and obviously needs an uplift but the service makes up for the peeling paint and old shower. The ambiance and homely feeling is great. The pool is nice and the staff is amazing.

Stayed here for 6 days the room was an absolutely NIGHTMARE! Small bugs everywhere on the table, the stove was filthy and bathroom was disgusting and to top it all off there was a random beer can in our room behind our bed. I will say the staff were nice but that doesn’t really help us with the lack of cleanliness. It was a terrible nasty hotel do not go here!

good view, room was cleaned every 3rd day, towels available all the time, staff very friendly, kitchen in the room a big plus, safe, and lots of restaurants near the hotel. buses stop near the hotel and bus shuttle to the air port near the hotel. hotel does need an upgrade

Anna Rae at the front desk was so kind and genuinely friendly throughout our stay : ) We were in town apartment shopping and job interviewing for our upcoming move from the Big Island - so my teens and I were in and out a lot walking to lots of appointments all over Waikiki. The central location of Ohia was perfect for our busy, task driven trip. The building is less polished than other Waikiki hotels and resorts. We’ve stayed in quite a few of the “fancy” spots but if you’re looking to stay truly in the heart of Waikiki while spending a 1/4 of the average nightly cost - this place is perfect.

The staff was helpful and kept this hotel as clean and up to date as they could, considering it is a very old building. So with that being said, the hot water as a hit and miss and the rooms were clean but very dated. And there is only valet parking which was $40/day.
