Very nice hotel well located

I specifically booked as have stayed at Raddison in Edinburgh and Cape Town. I messaged them 2 weeks in advance requesting Spa appts…as arriving on morning flight. The shuttle driver was super creepy, the reception staff made no effort to accommodate me, spa fully booked… turned out hotel eas barely occupied…when taken to my room??? Expecting a Radddison experience… I was dismayed to find a travel lodge box… thanks goes to reception on evening shift who “upgraded” me… Just felt conned. Going backwards, very noisy late night and early morning on both nights. Restaurant food was poor.

Shouldn't be termed luxury. It's like the Donald Trump of hotels, say it and it's so. Air conditioning was not working. I don't term a queen bed as luxury, especially not one that moves everytime one of us moves. The interleading door, while locked, is not soundproofed and that ensured hearing cackling from the neighbours after their night out until 4am. Only one towel hook in the bathroom. NO euro plugs in the room, just one in the kitchen. The Netflix that they keep ok touting is just the app, you still need to sign in with your own account just like dstv streaming that is specified. Also, luxury in my mind means you at least get a bath sheet, but no, standard towels that could be fluffier. Worst was the fact that the bathroom, or at least toilet, did not have a door. It is in full view of the bed and balcony, so be sure you travel with someone you are VERY intimate with. While I just got married a few months ago, we have not reached that level of comfortability with one another and I hope we never do. It was clean though, definitely self catering with crockery and cutlery sufficient for your stay. Proximity to shops and Sunbet Arena can hardly be beaten.

Everything was very nice. The staff were amazing. The food was great. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the building needs some TLC. The phone in the room didn't work, light switch was a little finicky etc.

Floors need attention on corridors. Tap in the toilet sink could be reconfigured to be at a lower height. Bed very comfortable, TV absolutely stunning.
