Really pleased about the overall experience. Really exceptional service and incredible breakfast. Room was good, but not exceptional. Great Milton Brown toiletries. Fantastic location!
Staff were excellent, the room though was disappointing for us, in our view it was badly designed, it looked excellent but not at all practical
It would have been good to have been informed that the main restaurant was closed, but there were excellent ones close by.
Good location
The Relais San Lorenzo is situated in a perfect location, with the ability to walk out the door and into history. Even the restaurant is integrated into Roman Ruins. The hotel itself is fabulous - clean, modern, comfortable, and with a great breakfast!
The entire staff was friendly and always very helpful. We had stopped for lunch before staying there on the way to another destination in Italy just to see the accommodations and they couldn’t have been nicer! Our room was wonderful, the spa delightful and dinner was amazing. It’s location couldn’t be better right at the end of the old Town. It was our last night in Italy with a plane out of Milan at 1:15 and it was simple leaving at 9 after a great breakfast in their unique cavern restaurant. We’d stay there again unquestionably.
My spouse and I are not your "typical" couple. However, EVERY staff member made us feel welcomed and they were very attentive and loving. This location is a little hidden but that's what we were looking for because we like small and quaint. It is very clean and dust free. The room we got was close to the elevator so it was very noisy and became a bit aggravating. That wanted to change our room but we just didn't want to pack all our things and move. That was a plus for us. I was celebrating my birthday and Dana an Paslo (owner) made a special connotation in celebration for me. She was very personable and invited us back, The conversation did not seem forced like she was trying to appease us because we were patrons. It felt like a genuine care for our return. There is breakfast included and it is very filling. There is a selection of fruit, breads, cheeses and meats. Also there is a menu that you can order eggs any way you like, bacon and sausage. These are included. They also have other items for a small fee. However, it is very filling and satisfying and I don't think you would have to purchase additional. A couple of days we had tours that began before breakfast started but we still was offered a "box" breakfast that was delivered to our room prior to departure. The "box" was actually a hefty bag that had more than enough in it to keep you full for several hours. It pretty much had everything. If we are ever back in Bergamo, we definitely will stay here.
Wonderful, modern hotel. The drive to the center of town is difficult but we should have come in another way avoiding all the pedestrians.
We checked in and the room was normal-small in size with a view of the inside courtyard. I asked for a larger room so they moved us to a junior suite with a great view and about 90 Euros more per night. We accepted as it was the end of a long trip for us and needed to unwind and pamper ourselves.
The service in the retaurant and bar is excellent. Everyone was so helpful.
Greatly enjoyed my time at this property. I was given an upgraded room which had a balcony overlooking the Court yard. The room was top notch with great amenities. The shower was and bathroom was clean, well organized and very high quality. The bar was small, but has a good cocktail selection. Breakfast in the morning was really good with lots of options and fresh fruits, cheeses and meats. The area around the hotel is quite nice with historical buildings and easy access to the city center. The location is a little tricky, but the hotel emailed me instructions prior to arriving. It's. It easy to locate as you need to try through some old historic streets and some of them are restricted access...which I'm still confused by. I would highly recommend the hotel, but hire a driver to bring you there
