I didn't like that I the surprise charges I had for my trip to Texas. If you're going to pay for something you flight, hotel, and rental car should be paid for with your booking in advance. Apparently I just paid over $590 for the flight, and two reservations. I still had to pay for my hotel and rental car out of pocket and thankfully had the money to do

The stay was good, the staff was friendly, the pool was closed which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for the pool, so it was disappointing as we met family there and had lots to kids that were excited to go swimming.

This was the nastiest hotel I have stayed at. Had a dead bug in the picture frame in the bathroom. There was sticky stuff all over the handle to my room and on the floor in my room. Duct tape in the elevator (only 1 of the two were working). Overall very run down and not taken care of. Will not be staying here again!

For beginners, we check in and the advertised pool isn’t available. Terribly disappointed in that due to it being one of the main reasons I chose this hotel compared to others since it’s summer in Texas. After getting our keys we went to the elevator and see a sign that says it’s “slow” and we’re welcome to take stairs to the 4th floor if we don’t want to wait. Since I’m recovering from a dislocated kneecap, I decided to wait. This felt like a mistake due to the elevator jerking and shuttering at every floor, on one occasion, the elevator stopped between floors and partially opened and shut immediately. From that point on for the next 4 days I decided to take the stairs and suffer the knee pain rather than risking getting stuck in an elevator for half the day. Oh! They have 2 elevators but one doesn’t work and they seem to be in no rush to fix it or correct the obvious broken one. But the most disgusting part of this hotel was the dead roach or silverfish that was smashed and dead inside the glass panel of the artwork over the toilet. The big screen TV with cable sometimes worked but mostly didn’t. The breakfast wasn’t half bad however they had no bar service as advertised either and their coffee/expresso machine in the bar was broken. Hyatts typically carry the same standards in my eyes as a marriot or a Hilton but this Hyatt seems to be a close cousin to a motel 8 but 5 times the cost for no apparent reason.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. For a family of four, the room (2 queen beds and a sofa bed) had almost no storage—just two small drawers, which made it hard to stay organized. There were also very few outlets or charging stations, which was frustrating with all our devices. Housekeeping was another major issue. We were told the rooms would be cleaned every two days, but the explanation was unclear. It wasn’t made clear that we had to request the cleaning ourselves, so we assumed it would happen automatically which it didn’t. Even after asking the front desk, no one came during our stay. The room also didn’t have a microwave, and we later found out that only rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors have them. This was a big disappointment, especially since we were staying on the 4th floor. The pool was closed for our entire stay. We were told the city was supposed to come inspect it, but that never happened which was frustrating, especially for our kids who were looking forward to swimming. Lastly, the breakfast was a disappointment. No pancakes or waffles were offered, which are usually hotel breakfast staples and a favorite for our family. On a positive note, the location was good, and the maintenance team and staff were pretty good. We also did lose an item and they found it for us and saved it in the front. Overall it was a decent stay.

We ran into a couple problems. Our refrigerator was out of service and they could not assist besides potentially using the employee refrigerator downstairs. One of the elevators was also out of service, and the other one was broken and having to stop at the third floor every time it went up or down.
