breakfast is a madhouse. the hotel seems to have changed a lot since Covid. Had dinner in the restaurant one night, loud blaring music (it's in a bar) ordered salmon, waiter brought a condiment tray of catsup, mayo, Worcestershire, and hot sauce - for salmon?

Great Location!

Clean, Quiet ,Great Location, Comfortable, Friendly, Helpful, and Responsive Staff! Room maintenance was a bit off. We needed to ask for heater to be adjusted, and it was fixed quickly, part of a head board slipped off the wall, it was fixed quickly, the toilet had to be flusher several times before it worked and never was totally repaired.

Room was hot, air con didn’t work because it’s ancient! There was an ugly bubble area on the ceiling, no mineral water (really? Standard in any hotel room), pillows were old, flat and uncomfortable

Sadly on need of an update?

In all my years of travelling and staying in hotels 2-3 nights a week, I have never known a city centre hotel where you cannot get a drink after 10:00p.m. We had been to a concert at the Albert Hall, and returned to the hotel for a drink before bed, only to be told that all of the bars were closed at 10:00, and room service finished at 9:30! The hotel itself is no different to when I stayed there 10 years ago, apart from the decline and deterioration of it! Sadly in need of some updating, it may satisfy some overseas visitors with its dilapidated appearance but for me it is not up to the standard one would expect when staying in the vicinity of Kensington High Street.

Great location shame about the rooms

Hotel lovely downstairs but rooms outstayed and we were put in an interconnecting room with just a door between is and next door We were woken at 5am both mornings by voices that could be heard through the door disturbing us all. My husband was running the marathon this morning so it was not welcome. The hotel is surely big enough bot to put families who do not know each other in this situation?

As a Geordie visiting London when you pay for a hotel which is expensive by my local standards I guess youct expect a little luxury. The Tara's fixtures and fittings could do with some updating as they look tired and worn. That said the accomodation is extremely clean, the staff absolutely lovely and super helpful. I ate twice at the brasserie and the meal was beautifulutifully cooked with again exceptional service. The location was ideal as it's not far from Kensington hotel high street and the V&A , natural history museum and royal Albert hall are all within a 25 minute walk. Kensington Palace and gardens are closer still..chech in and check out we're really straightforward. As a non Londoner navigating the circle line from Kings NHS cross was a challenge on my return journey I opted to walk to Earls court and catch a train on the Piccadilly line back to king's cross yesterday it's a long nger walk but a far easier journey toake. All done n all I enjoyed my stay in no small part due to the fabulous staff and cleanliness of the hotel. I would definitely stay again.
