Very good

The property is not well represented in the description. The views are amazing but the ocean view may need to be reclassified as "you can almost see the ocean from your room"; during our stay it was very noisy, with poor Internet (when available) and the staff were incredibly rude. We did not like it so we left a day in advance, asking for a refund for the last night of our stay. They refused to do that and then refused to take calls or discuss with Orbitz. It was not a good experience, I would not recommend this hotel, even though the description and location make it seem appealing. I bet other hotels/inns/b&b in the areawould be much more friendly.

Gorgeous hotel
The staff were very good, room was excellent. Was let down by breakfast on day 2, the restaurant was full despite taking bookings for what time, and they forgot about my food, probably because I was in the great hall on my own.

Disliked: Amenities
Paid £387 for one night room only. Value for money was poor, room did not meet expectations.
Hotel looks impressive from the outside and main reception however our room was far from it. Very disappointed. Bathroom was a "caravan pod" and tiny. Bedroom had mold up the walls and paint flaking everywhere

Liked: Cleanliness
Reasonably priced single bed stay for 2 nights.
Beautiful and historic building. Features of a stately home. The view over the cliffs to the sea was amazing.
A single room included a toilet & shower plastic cubicle that was too small for me and I suggest for many adults. The door to the cubicle had to be opened to enable you to sit down on the toilet, before closing again.
The lock on the door was a keyed 'night lock', which offers very little security whether you are in the room or elsewhere.
Polite and welcoming staff.
Comfortable and peaceful bar, sitting areas and restaurant. Lovely coffee.
Breakfast included many choices of quality food.
The evening menu was traditional and of a very good quality.
There was also a Pizza menu until 9pm.
I would recommend this hotel but don't expect a modern hotel experience but maybe, that is the point.

A last minute stay, room was outdated and in need of some TLC. Disappointed as no water on a hot day (27c) or biscuits or chocolate drink as this is usually the standard for most these days. I dont think the menu has changed much since we last visited. Love the area with plenty to do and see.
We enjoyed our stay in this magnificent old castle. However you need to be prepared for very old plumbing. But the experience was outstanding and views are incredible.

Beautiful hotel, despite the ongoing refurbishment. Staff were excellent, superb service all round. Location stunning
It was a beautiful place and the view was spectacular. However the first thing I saw when entering the hotel was a large picture of Trump, Melania and the owner of the hotel. I did not go to the hotel to see a picture of a convicted felon and it turned me off immediately.
I was truly excited to stay at Camelot Castle having seen the building from the actual castle for the last 70 years. My room was comfortable and quiet. However, the ensuite bathroom was the stuff of nightmares. I am 81, have had spinal surgery twice not to mention a double fracture of the pelvis. I considered the bathroom with the step up, the slight catch on the inside of the step and the slippery nature of the material very dangerous.
Modern, clean and in good condition.
Cistern noisy.

Wonderful location and very unique. Hotel could do with some modernisation although would need to be done carefully not to take away the character of the hotel.
Standard rooms are very small, the bathroom is basically something you’d find from a cruise ship cabin infact probably smaller, if you are anything bigger than average you simply wouldn’t fit in the showe, luckily not the case for us but worth noting.
Staff are very attentive, views from the hotel are simply incredible

Great location but past its best
Staff were excellent. The hotel is on a great location and has character in abundance and old style charm in keeping with the history of this victorian building. It has grandeur. BUT for the price it needs some tlc. The bar, restaurant and lounge were OK but the stairs and landings look shabby with old discoloured carpeting and flaking paintwork. It looks past its best and needs sympathetic redecoration. My room was also a bit shabby, window was very old and didn't shut properly. Furniture was very dated. Given some refurbishment this hotel xould be glorious again, to match its history and awesome location.

Nice location and scenery. Nice views.
Pretty from the outside. However price of breakfast was far too high for what was received. The service was fine, but disappointed in the breakfast and price.
In house dining a bit pricey too even for 4 star.
