The hotel room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very accommodating and polite. The food was 5 star. Was within 10 mins walk to beach The ICON shopping centre bars & eateries. Will definitely stay again.

Great hotel, but tough walk to beach

Great location on map to sanur beach, but a very tough walk. Hotel itself was great. Clean, friendly and attentive. Great breakfast buffet.

Incredible Staff

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at Grand Palace. I could focus on my beautiful and spacious room that backed up right to the pool. I could focus on the good food at the restaurant. I could focus on how comfortable the bed was. However, that would make me fall far short of what makes this a truly great stay. The staff. The folks that work at Grand Palace are truly beautiful people. Exceptionally kind. Giving. Caring. I was there for a month and got to talk with many on their team for long stretches, and everyone was incredibly friendly and warm. From the spa to the front desk to housekeeping and to the parking lot attendants, I felt so welcomed while on my solo journey stop around the world here in Bali. I hope to be back someday. Not Quite As Expected

We were disappointed with the first room we were allocated as it was on the top level and a long walk from Reception and the pool. We were re located to a ground floor room after reporting this. The new room had a better location but was inferior. The room was less comfortable. No couch or other seating other than a desk chair. The one lamp was broken and room was very dark - too dark to read in bed. The fridge was not working well and was replaced when this was mentioned. The bathroom did not have a towel rail and there was only 1 hook on the back of the door, After showering water pooled on the floor. The flooring in the main room had bubbles. The location of the hotel was disappointing as we did not feel safe walking on such a busy road. Around the pool is very slippery and poorly lit - we had to walk this way to our room.

Value for price paid.

Lovely hotel but did not enjoy hearing the neighbours next door at night, with their TV up loud until midnight. The walk to the shops like Icon mall, in the heat, I did not enjoy. Otherwise it was a great hotel. Comfortable beds, pillow, and chair to sit on. Value for money. Pool is large and very shallow.

The hotel is pretty nice. The kitchen/ breakfast stuff is slow and never delivers to the right table or in timely manner. Do not use any credit cards with them for deposit when checking in. It’s hard to get it back. They say they will contact the bank, but there is no proof that they will do it, so you have to trust them. Overall, it’s cheap because it’s next to a very busy road where you really don’t want to walk.

Trying to give a very fair review. The staff were all very very friendly and accommodating. If you stay here it might feel like you're a touch too far away from the beach and the walkability of Sanur is compromised by easily flooded back roads. Highly recommend hiring a scooter or using local taxi/rideshare instead of walking. Clean & comfortable, the hotel is clearly well managed and staffed.
