Compare Ski Hotels in Des Plaines

The hotel looks really cool as it’s really old. The rooms are very basic, a coffee maker and a tiny tv. The south tower is right on the train line so it can be noisy with the train rattling past. The staff was nice. We didn’t use many of the amenities (like restaurants) so I can’t comment on them. The location is great for touring around Chicago as you’re right downtown on Michigan Ave

My mom and I decided to do a girl’s trip to Chicago, and River Hotel was one of the best decisions we made. The staff were so friendly, the rooms were clean, and there were plenty of amenities. My mom especially loved the complimentary Nespresso in our room. My only qualm with the hotel was how thin the walls were at our hotel. We could hear the neighbors, though muffled. It’s an older hotel, to be frank.

Amazing stay in Chicago! The hotel was in the perfect location and made everything super convenient. The front desk staff were incredibly nice and helpful the entire trip. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything about this hotel was great except the mattress! It needs updating...not very comfortable. Location was amazing though!

The room was a little small, but fit my needs on a 3 day business trip. The bar downstairs served a limited breakfast... And had free fruit, and Coffee in the morning. The staff was extremely friendly, and very attentive to guests. In summary I would stay here again on business.
