Welcoming staff, Room was very comfortable and housekeeping was excellent room made up to a high standard every day of stay. Breakfast was very good ate in restaurant 2 nights of stay food was really nice. Excellent location on seafront near electric tram and steam railway To sum up we all have enjoyed our stay at the Empress hotel

Just checked out from a six-night stay here. LOVED my room - a business room with a sea view. I normally don’t get too hung up on sea views but this one was special. Spent a lot of room time sitting in my little alcove with its big bay windows, staring out to sea and the Tower of Refuge, contemplating the tides. Perfectly located. Great for walking along the beautiful promenade and shopping along the Strand. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were wonderful and super helpful. My room, and likely the hotel, did not have air conditioning. Normally this would have been a problem for me but I was quite comfortable during my stay. Still quiet to sleep with the windows open and there was a fan provided in the closet. Stairs. There’s an elevator to bring you to your floor but stairs here and there to drag your suitcases up and down. It’s an odd setup but staff is happy to help if they notice or you ask for it. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order. I’d stay here again. ☺️

The hotel was great, small but functional room. Spa facilities were fabulous- but had to use the Fire Exit to access the spa needs attention

Breakfast staff slightly off-hand but breakfast good. Room, shower, bed all very good.

Stayed here recently and overall had a good experience. The room was clean, reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and I had no issues with the service. My only real complaint was the curtains in the room. They were so thin they might as well have been tracing paper. In the Isle of Man during summer, when it stays light until around 22:00 and gets bright again very early in the morning, they did very little to block out the light. I ended up hanging clothes over the window just to make the room dark enough to sleep, which isn’t something guests should have to do. If blackout curtains were fitted, I’d have very few complaints. Clean room, great staff, but the window coverings need attention
