Excellent service from all staff. Lovely quiet room . Breakfast was nice a lot of choice. Unfortunately the bed was not right but I used a grounding sheet which really helped for the second night. Overall I recommend this hotel :)

I couldn’t fault the staff, they were so friendly and helpful. As I am disabled they gave us a room near the lift for convenience. The room (318) was lovely and clean and they arranged a disabled seat and extra handrails in the shower. The room was incredibly noisy as every time anyone used the lift you could hear it in the room. The disabled toilet on the ground floor wasn’t working. Would I stay there again - yes but I would want a room a little further from the lift.

Much better than expected.

Great location. I was surprised by how nice the hotel was. Really welcoming and the unexpected room upgrade was appreciated. Will definitely stay again if in Doncaster.

Needed a convenient place to stay at budget price between arriving at 10 PM and leaving by 9 AM. Fitted the bill perfectly. Staff were friendly, room clean, quiet, temperature/adjustable and including desk and suitcase stand. Breakfast provided. Corridors and stairs were in rather worse condition than the rooms.

In general everyjing was good with this place, staff we met seemed friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable and provided everything needed for a relaxed stay. I had booked a Privilege Double room though as was visiting with my best friend and thought we'd enjoy a double bed each but also each others company. On check in though we were informed that the room wasnt available and so we had been given a double room each - which was fine but kind of spoilt our enjoyment a little and had no communications about it prior to arrival. Location is very central and convenient to everything... Frenchgate car park is a little walk from the hotel and although have a deal with the hotel, the receptionist did not know the correct password for a discount and the ones she gave me didn't work. Generally a pleasant stay overall though

Would definitely return

The room was used more as a base as we had a day and night out planned. The room was surprisingly small but did what it was intended for. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to give directions etc as we tried to find club after club. The location is fantastic, there's a pleasant reception area with a nice decor and a small bar. I would definitely return!

It good. It great. I like this hotel. The breakfast was the happy type, with self service hot and cold available. The power shower was super and the checkout time was just the best option available right up to 12.00 as ALL hotels should be. The room, large size with the bonus of a lovely bed, pillows were terrible and no extras provided. You could make own teas and coffee in room, 15 milk provided and reoccurring sugar was no issue. Hotel next to a nightclub but little noise. Lots of areas to relax and enjoy the hotel mini break. The staff should be given bonus as very happy and informative especially Ebony who told us all about the Yorkshire Park that we were visiting. Check in easy and a breeze, I chose English as my preferred language as I was born in the UK. Water with fruit pieces available at breakfast, I enjoyed unlimited butter. Temu ornaments in reception give an inclusive and homely feel. Life very small but useful to get to know people on a more intimate level. Fast acceleration and access to floors without delay. Overall, happy and delighted experience of the hotel facilities, joy from the staff and happy the guest who has the short or long trip. Thank you to friends at Mercure Doncaster, the key cars was produced from wood grain material. Only negative was the pillows disintegrated beneath your head. Hash browns a bit dry but sausages were full of meat, especially the ones I had for breakfast. 13 out of 14 for this hotel. Happy to return.

2 night stay

Lovely hotel only issue we had was room not ready when we arrived at 3 was given key to room went up to only return to reception as the room wasn’t made up apparently all privilege rooms had been given new mattresses still in plastic but obviously they forgot we was booked in we received so much apologies from receptionist but manager didn’t have time of day for us kept sending hotel receptionist over waited about 30 mins to get in to room when in only one towel and no bath wash and button for toilet was still faulty we had reported it a few weeks before and still wasn’t repaired shame as the hotel had improved so much from previous years ago room 314 we was in so if in that please check it’s been repaired we had come for 2 nights but we left after one as the races had been cancelled we did ask if we could have a credit note they said no as it had to be cancelled midnight night before which isn’t going to happen we due check out at 11 and if you stay for 1 night you have til 12 to check out but no refund or reply to my email such as shame room is on front so if your not a party animal don’t stay here as thr pubs opposite are open til about 2 in morning through week later on a weekend they do have quieter rooms which they were going to move us to but that room wasn’t prepared either

Stayed here as we were visiting family for a birthday celebration. staff very friendly, hotel clean, mattress was amazing we slept really well 💤 we were located in the middle of the hotel so no noise from outside I would definitely recommend this as the street is very busy and loud. Will stay here again.
