I really like the Skylon. I grew up nearby in Home Farm Park so I know the area very well and find it very convenient to town and the airport.

Impressively chic hotel, a nice distance from the city, but close enough if you need it. Plenty of food and pubs around as well. All of this, along with a super nice staff make this an excellent choice. (They forgot to honor my request for a wake-up call, but the kindness of everyone wins out over that.)

Bit of a hiccup at check-in as they had allocated our room to someone else with the same surname. We had booked an executive room and were offered a double in lieu. This wasnt an option for us as we had 3 guests. after about 20mins we were offered a triple room. other than that the hotel was very good, staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent
