Wow! What an incredible resort! So much to do here and see! If you have children, this is a great place for them too! When we checked in, we were notified we were in a different building. Our front end staff carried our luggage to a golf cart, drove us the 30 seconds to the other building, unloaded our luggage and carried it up the stairs for us into our room. Our tummies were hungry so on the advise of one of the fabulous bartenders we strolled over to the pizza and spaghetti house where we sat outside enjoying the water and a lovely glass of Rose followed by an incredible pizza that we shared. We swam in the Adriatic Sea and then went to check out the gorgeous pools. For us, dinner AND breakfast buffets were included…oh my! They were both fantastic!! If you don’t love the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place to stay! It’s about 15 minutes outside of Old Town and worth it! We’ve already discussed coming back and doing a family vacation here. Great place, great staff, great food and great grounds!!

A clean fairly large hotel with wonderful views of the sea and surroundings. Great location to access a couple of trips by boat and a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. Helpful staff and a good range breakfast buffet. Rooms were clean, fairly basic but fine. Beach access and pool were both easy. Despite all the signs, people still put towels down early in the day. They were at least free - as the beach area charges nearly 50 euro for our group of 4 per day which is very expensive.

Great stay!

Stayed here for 10 nights. The staff were very friendly and had good English. We were given clean towels everyday and beds were made daily. Mlini was stunning, nice to stay a short distance outside the busyness of Dubrovnik old town. It was about 12-25€ for an Uber into the old town, depending on the time. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back!

We had a really great stay in a connecting family room with a partial sea view (we had the sea, and the mountains in our view). I’ve seen this hotel get quite a bit of stick for various things and I can honestly say I’m not sure why. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotlessly clean. Our rooms were of a decent size (main hotel) I’m not sure how much time people spend in their rooms when on holiday and why youd need anymore space. Yes the storage isn’t amazing but we found somewhere for everything. Beds super comfy, showers great! We never had an issue getting a sunbed (if you got to the pool before 9.30 you wouldn’t have an issue, yes if you turn up at 11am it’s always going to be unlikely you’d get one! If we went off for the day and came back later in the afternoon we never had a problem getting a sunbed again. You could pay a deposit for pool towels and swap as often as you wanted. Our son (9) was very pleased to find they had a games room with ps5, Nintendo switch 2 etc, pool tables, football tables. So close to the beach and a short walk, which we took often along the sea front to Srebreno with more beaches, restaurants, a wibbit and some sort of play park every 100m! We found the whole place to be very safe and clean. Two restaurants connected to the hotel were also great and no need to book. We took a kayak tour over to Supetar island one day, an uber into Old town Dubrovnik and one to Cavtat all well worth it!

1. I have sent more than 10 emails to be replaced from the Anex building to the main building. They have moved me to the main building but to a closet facing the elevator!! When I asked to go back to get back original reserved room. I had to wait one day and they did it as a favor. 2. Breakfast in this place is horrible for a cup of coffee you need to stand in a line for over 20 minutes. Imagine if you want to get a second cup! 3. Pool area sitting is full starting from 7:00 AM in the morning and you have to pay for sitting at the beach even though it is being run by the hotel and theirs pool area sitting is packed. 4. The last 2 night guess upstairs started to screaming and run across the building. All the guests came out the room because they tought that there is fire

Really nice stay at Astarea, positives are clean modern room, super comfy beds, we are a family of 4 and had 2 interconnected rooms on the package with proper beds for the kids, not a sofa bed, which was great. Also table tennis, table football, pool, gaming room, gym, sauna and huge indoor pool to keep our hyper boys busy. The area is lovely with a few nice restaurants and boat taxis to Dubrovnik and a lovely place called Cavtat. Negatives buffet breakfast is fine but I wasn’t a fan of the cooked food, but nice bread and cheese and porridge, fruits etc. The staff in the restaurants are working flat out, so seem a bit stressed and tired. Reception staff not overly friendly, but a lovely guy checked us out. Cleaning staff fabulous. Pool area very difficult to get a lounger, although this had improved by time we left, with towels removed after 30 minutes unoccupied. Beach you need to pay for loungers/umbrellas and is quite expensive. Really nice hotel with some caveats.

Beautiful area, great choice for a short break. Lack of sunbeds by the pool, and those on the beach are chargeable. Most staff are absolutely wonderful. Incredible views of the bay

The property was great and the staff very helpfull, breakfast was not bad and the facilities were great. The only negative is that, there were not enough loungers around the pool which led to some challanges other than that we had a great stay.
