The recent renovations are the reason we choose for this stay. The lobby, restaurant are all beautifully done. We stayed in a freshly renovated suite. Rooms are very large and has a nice outlook of trees. We were met at entrance by welcoming staff who showed us the hotel and room. But as a 5 star hotel, there are lots of things below our expectations. On the 2nd day of our stay, we hang the label to clean the room in the morning. It was not cleaned or replenished when we came back in the late afternoon. When asked, the receptionist said, we are too busy today. The cleaner has gone home. We asked for the towels and complimentary bottle of water. She said, the water is only free for the first day. You need to pay for your 2nd night stay. And these altitudes carry over in the breakfast as well. Only first cup of tea is included in the buffet. The hot dishes are few at the buffet. The bacons are rock hard. Roasted tomatoes and hash browns are cold. There are no boiled eggs or omelettes. Pancakes cost extra. The room although large, but not designed for comfort. Tv is fixed at a high level and at 90 degrees to the sofa. The closet and hallway are totally dark without any lights. There is a single basin and no amenities like soap bar, tooth brush or paste. The mirrors are high up not suitable for lady. There's no temperature control in the room. Shutters are broken. This list goes on. We love Milton park and stayed many times. Hope they improve. We paid over $2200 for the room.
