The room was very nice and wide, but the parking and elevator were crowded and busy. Coffee capsules were available on the first day, but none were replenished afterward.

The property and facilities are run down. The pool is in need of a good clean and upgrade with broken concrete and dirty tiles. At least 1 lift was always out of order which was frustrating during peak times. Rooms were cleaned daily however floors were never vacuumed during our stay so there was always sand under your feet which inevitably made it into your bed sheets!! Would also be handy if the hotel supplied some sort of clothes line/portable drying rack to dry swimmers etc. On the upside, the gym facilities were quite good and the breakfast was excellent (although you had to wait a long time to get your omelette as there was only 1 chef cooking them).

Apart from the few painting defects from quite possibly a partial renovation within the room, it was a really nice place to stay, everything in surfers was within walking distance and from the balcony you could drink in the local ambience. The elevators got really busy however and there weresome long waits for a tripup or down to the pool, reception and rooms. Totally reccomend!

Location is great. 30 seconds to Cavil Ave and a short walk to the beach. Pool, spa and tennis court were great. you can borrow body boards for the beach. A lot of patience is needed in the morning / night during busier periods with the lifts. Waiting up to 10 mins was not uncommon. Some occasions they did not come so we had to take the fire stairs (from the 18th floor). The buffet breakfast was loud, busy and expensive. Far betted choices around. Overall the kids and I enjoyed our stay.

Property was great, the best located hotel on surfers. staff friendly, the only bugbear was the elevators. They all didn’t seem to operate efficiently. On peak periods you can be waiting 20 minutes to get one. I had a big delay at checkout trying to get a lift down. Fortunately the concierge was great and helped out in the situation

Stayed 4 nights and everything at the novotel was great from the room to the staff,and location, Only thing that wasnt great was the shower its a tight fit plus shower head and water flow was not great, Will definitely stay there again though
