Great location, dog friendly in a colorful hotel with plenty of personality. Room was very comfortable, staff was lovely. My only ask would be that they clean up the elevator lobby after parties on the rooftop. We had to walk through the messy aftermath the following morning to get to and from our room.

Elegant Monaco hotel

Amazing hotel with both an historic and modern vibe. Decorated tastefully with extraordinary touches and fixtures. Wow. Staff is friendly and attentive to guests. Location is just a few blocks from the Liberty Bell, easy walk to sights and hop on hop off buses. Great little eatery where we had delicious breakfasts. Will stay here a again.

I come to Philly once a month for work and my normal hotel was sold out, so I took a chance on this hotel. Let me tell you. I’m so mad that I’m just finding it since it my last visit for the year. I absolutely loved this hotel. It is absolutely adorable, the staff is amazing and THAT BED! It was so comfortable. The room was a nice size and the robe was so comfy. My only complaint is I had one very small window looking directly into the boarded up building across the street.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. The hotel had a lot of character and was located in the heart of the historic sights like Independence Square. The staff were also very friendly. The one complaint we had was that only one elevator was working on our last day.

Only one elevator (of four) was operational during a very busy holiday weekend, forcing many guests to either wait 15+ minutes to squeeze into an overcrowded elevator car or use the stairs to access our rooms. Staff seemed stressed and overextended in shouldering this inconvenience, as well. Our room was fairly clean and comfortable, but the stay lacked the Kimpton charm that we’ve experienced in previous visits. If this were my first time staying at the Hotel Monaco, I would not return.
