Had a fantastic stay at Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect – just a short walk to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Breakfast was great for a decent price. Particularly loved the sustainable Belu water station. Would definitely stay here again! 🌟

The hotel well located clean and very friendly. If you are looking for something very Scottish with lots of character this is not the hotel for you. But it was perfect in every other matter … even free parking. Great value!

My only criticism is there are no USB sockets which makes charging multiple devices difficult Check in staff were unsmiling but helpful, it would have been good to be told there was filtered water machines on every floor because we found them by accident otherwise Apex is a great chain you know what you are getting - always our go to hotel for city breaks

Great location in grassmarket

Great quality and lovely rooms and bathroom. Big double shower and bath. Loved the facility of water dispenser on each floor with decanter in room.. Coffee machine and fridge great. Safety deposit safe great. We managed to check in 2 hours earlier than we thought. Brilliant 👏. Spot on location wise in grassmarket and view of the castle. We will definitely use again.

castle view - noise from outside all night

room was castle view and as this was very close to a busy main road outsuide could hear people passing by talking and vehicles going past/deliveries to shops/cafes throughout the night. I would not stay in this room again - the bed could be better too - the matress was uncomfortable and the pillows two the same size and neither ergonomic or firm.
