Apex Grassmarket hotel is ntohing short of exceptional. From my initial arrival to the very second before i left, i was treated with courtesy and hospitality. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Edinburgh. The location gives you access to steps to the castle and is mere steps away from the Royal mile. Im not usually one to utilize hotel restaurants but metro was top tier- both its staff and quality of food. You will also find that its reasonably priced also. I stayed in the room with the balcony looking out to edinburgh castle, and it was a sight i never grew tired of waking up to. All in all, i highly recommend this hotel.

Apex made my first time visit in Edinburgh a wonderful one. It was an excellent experience. It is nearby tourist destinations and endless dining options. The hotel itself offers various amenities. If only my itineraries allowed me to use them all. They also proactively asked needs that they may not have initially included in my room. The option to do it online makes it really convenient for me. I will definitely use their services again when I go back and visit Edinburgh again.

Lovely hotel that is ideally situated in a lovely square with cafes and restaurants within easy reach of the main town. Good facilities and it is worth having a castle view room. Good choice at breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and hot choices. Staff are friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for my 60th Birthday stay especially Alistair on Reception. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if visiting Edinburgh.

Was our second visit. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Hot and cosy in. Staff in reception were friendly to us and the lobby bar was very nice and great atmosphere too so we had couple of drinks there.

Fab stay, great location

We stayed at low season so the hotel was very quiet. We enjoyed a drink in the bar, had a delicious breakfast and slept in super comfy beds. There was a little peeling paint in the ceiling of the bathroom but it was otherwise clean and well maintained. We had an amazing view of the castle from our room, and the location of the hotel is excellent. It was great to have use of the pool, would have been nice for if robes had been in the room for us.

Adored the lady that checked us in, who assisted us at a later point throughout our stay. The hotel was lovely, clean and warm. The swimming pool was a little cold at first but not too much of a problem. The room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was phenomenal, with a continental bar to help yourself to. I highly recommend the eggs benedict! A slight issue with a female member of staff on the hotel bar on our second time in there who had rudely stated that our first time wasn't paid for, of which we proved it was and they realised their mistake. This was quite cringey and left a sour taste but this was rectified by the lovely lady at reception who understood that the situation made me and my partner uncomfortable. Overall, all other staff were absolutely fantastic and welcoming. Thank you! Would definitely stay again.
