Hotel itself was fine, great location, nice ambiance, friendly staff. Room was small but comfortable bed and great shower. What really let it down was the supposedly French restaurant. The food was bland and tasteless. The Mushroom starter no noticeable Madeira, sourdough not toasted. Prawn starter no Pastis. First Provençal fish stew served with uncooked fish, second totally bland. Beef Bourginion lacking any of the richness that this dish should have. Cheese board actually quite good but very small pieces. Very disappointing.

The bed was amazing! It was so comfortable and cozy. All of the staff were very friendly. Kaya in the bar was exceptional! Very friendly and very knowledgeable about scotch. We would definitely stay at this hotel again

Room was clean and warm. Chose no room service as was only there for two nights. Breakfast was excellent, Kara behind the bar, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly, as were all the staff we met to be fair. Go there each year, I’ll be back again next year.
