Stay near the rail station

Overall a great location. Cumbersome to maneuver through the twists and turns and stairs with elderly parents to get to the elevator or reception restrooms. Breakfast was OK. Nice reception & bar area to hang out, have a drink or read. But the best part of this hotel is its location.

Location was excellent for tram/bus transport direct to airport. Cute coffee bars right outside, lots of good pubs for drink/food within 10 mins walk. Royal Mile and castle within 10 mins walk uphill. Shopping on Princess Street and the gardens just across bridge (5mins walk). Nice. comfortable bar to relax in. Small but clean rooms. Helpful staff, quick check in. Comfy bed

The stay was very nice. It was a little loud in our room, maybe a lot loud, but no way to control street noise. Better sound proofing would help a lot, but for the price and location, it's hard to beat.

The location is right in the center of Edinburgh. Some of the rooms are very noisy. We asked to be moved to a quieter room and they accommodated us. Our room was a bit small but that is expected. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The breakfast is excellent. The rooms clean and tidy. The property is a difficult maze of halls and floors that are not very accessible for suitcases and tired travelers. The lounge drinks are expensive and the smallest experienced in 3 countries. However the strangest experience is to have hotel rooms with no windows at all. We will not return to this one but the chain may be better elsewhere.

Having to exit 1 elevator,walk through an entire floor to get to the elevator/stairs to get to my room wasn't ideal. Being on the 6th floor, the room was very warm. The staff, dining and bar area were exemplary and so helpful. Great location for local sites, great food and easy walks.

Loved this hotel it is within walking distance of nearly everything. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable and I don’t recommend paying for the breakfast. I would stay here again.
