REALLY not a comfortable room. Absolutely no shelves, drawers, or a closet at all. You have to live out of your suitcase.

This is the place to stay if you’re not driving. A short walk from the tram that is great from the airport or the Edinburgh express that stops half a block away. A very nice hotel with a decent continental breakfast. Being in the old town is walking the castle is 7 minutes away. Lots of eating options in the area but be sure to make reservations. The bar was a nice retreat if the live music in the pubs become a bit much. Our room was good with windows that opened however there are rooms that apparently can get very hot according to other customers but you can ask the front desk for fans..this was October. Great hotel very comfortable and I would stay here again.

The room was updated and clean. The breakfast was really good. many options to choose from.Lots of healthy options and all was fresh. Lots of shops and dining close by. Train station was a short walk.Would definitely stay here again.

This was a great right on the Royal Mile walked everywhere and transportation to the airport was right across the street cannot say enough about the location for first timers to Edinburgh especially.

The staff are great, but the hotel itself is only okay. The breakfast options are limited as there isn’t a functional kitchen in the hotel, just the bar that serves drinks only. For the cost, it’s underwhelming and I would’ve gone without had I known it was just going to be toast, cereal, etc. I would have simply gone to a coffee shop down the street that sells better options for the same if not cheaper. Furthermore, given that there is no restaurant in the hotel I would’ve expected there to at least have been a mini fridge in the room to store food purchased elsewhere, but there was not. This is a hotel that is okay for maybe one or two night, but for the price I wouldn’t suggest staying here a full week as I did. The location is really great, and the staff are amazing so this review is a not a reflection of them, but of the hotel’s overall amenities and cost not really being reconcilable.

This motel is located in the best part of the city. It had a very clean room and comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the bar for an evening nightcap.

Perfect location for a hotel. Staff was lovely but hotel was very much a maze with lots of stairs that were difficult to maneuver with several bags. We chose the hotel by location and laughed out loud as it was the smallest hotel room we had ever seen. All good for one night.

Hotel overall was nice. The room we had was very tight. We were traveling throughout Scotland for two weeks, so we had two large suitcases and two carry-on cases. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was ok…not overly large, but did the trick. The best part of the hotel was its location and very easy access to The Royal Mile. It was literally just up the street from the hotel. We found a great pub that had nightly music called The Scotsman Lounge. We went 2 times during our Edinburgh visit…and had a great time both times. The music was great and the people at the bar were wonderful. Highly recommend it! The biggest negative for this hotel is parking. We had to park in a parking structure about 3/4 of mile away…and when your pulling suitcases and navigating the crowds and various streets, it was a bit of a chore. The hotel does not have a drop off area so you unload your bags and check in before driving to the parking structure. So…if you plan to rent a car like we did and want to stay at this hotel, be prepared for this.

Comfiest bed that we’ve stayed in on our trip to the UK was at Motel one, the room was clean and decorated so beautifully. Loved having a window that could fully open, as we are hot sleepers! It was so close to royal mile and all the best food and coffee. Thank you Motel One Edinburgh!! We will definitely be back.

My room was at the very end of a hall and my one window overlooked a busy stairway of Advocates Close. The bathroom was tiny but had everything I needed. I could not get the tv to turn off, I think the batteries were bad, but the tv was stuck on a fireplace with very low sound so I did not bother calling the front desk to fix.
