There are no indoor dining tables, only a few available on an outdoor deck, so there really isn't a comfortable place to sit and have coffee or breakfast. The bicycles are in poor condition; we couldn't find one with working brakes, and the handlebars were unsafe. We stayed for four nights in two rooms, but our room was not cleaned properly. Sometimes, only one bed was made by the cleaning crew, while the other bed was left messy just as we had left it. It was quite strange. I'm not sure if they ever changed our sheets. The reason I give this place three stars is because of the price. It was a good deal on the room through Expedia when booked early and paid for upfront. The sister hotel up the road is much nicer.

Affordable option

This is an old motel that got a face lift. While the accommodations are simple, it is clean comfortable and modern. It’s in a great location and was much more affordable than most other options in town. My only complaint was the inconsistency of the breakfast - it was great but only on the days when they had everything in stock.

The Outpost was great. Staff were friendly throughout the stay, the offered great recommendations. The room was spacious enough for our family of 4. We even had an elk greet us at our doorstep!

Would not recommend!!

I called the day before arrival to ask a question about check in and was put on hold for 30 minutes before having to hang up and call again to be helped. The ladies who checked us in the next day were extremely rude and not friendly, especially the older woman, Nikki. I could not believe the lack of professionalism this woman showed, and how unwelcome we felt from day 1. There were bugs in the room and dirty towels. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The water pressure and water temperatures in the shower are unbearable. Overall an unpleasant stay. Not only will we not be returning to this hotel, we will not be recommending to any friends or family. Highly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

All the doors and cabinets in the room were not great. They seemed very old: Beds were very good. Staff was really nice. Breakfast is only, yoghurt, granola, muffin and fruit. It’s only a few minutes drive from town. The pool was closed when we were there and it’s the size of a big hot tub..

We enjoyed our stay here. The outdoor pool seemed to be heated and was really nice. They ran out of pool towels but that's not a big deal. There were unique amenities like complimentary s'mores at their other building (half mile away). There are also bikes available to use. Breakfast options were limited but good. There were also trail mix snacks available at check-in.

Skip this one!

The person working the front desk was not friendly or helpful. We had to wait over an hour after the check in time of 4 pm for our room to be ready even though I had requested an early check in (and were told no problem). We were promised a credit due to this but after repeated attempts from the manager, we never got the credit. Also, the room was quite noisy because of the footsteps above us. The walls are quite thin!!

Poor hygiene and poor service

The shower drain was clogged. When we asked the front desk to get it cleaned, they said they’ll take care of it, but they didn’t. We ended up pulling a bunch of hair from the drain of God knows how many previous guests. There was some stuff like a hairpin and stuff like that from previous guests in our room when we got there. The breakfast was a joke too. And I hope you don’t get a room in the back area because parking lot is small, poorly planned and difficult to get in and out.
