Excellent sea view from our room. Lovely grounds, well kept, good for walking our dog. Car parking was reasonable cost and easy, able to use the facility door full 24 hrs.

Home now after a very enjoyable weekend stay at The Imperial Hotel to celebrate a friend’s birthday and retirement. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and made us and our friends feel very welcome and not like we were ‘just another guest’. We ate in both the restaurant and bar area and the meals were a good size and tasty. Breakfast was plentiful with gluten free and milk alternatives available upon request. My husband and I will definitely be visiting this hotel again in the future.

Just an overnight stay before a party. Never stayed in Exmouth before, but have visited many times. The hotel is ideally placed with fabulous garden space. The beach is always a treat but a short walk from the entrance to the hotel, there’s a lovely town square/piazza surrounded by bars and eateries

Shocking. The room was not the one we booked. Stank of urine and when we raised the issues at reception we were told that the hotel was full and that it ' is what it is '. And as it was only a one night stay we should just tolerate it. After all, the guy at reception has been there 25 years and knows how to deal with issues. Righto.

Stayed a night with friends, great location over looking the seafront, beautiful parkland setting. The hotel itself is a little tired and would welcome a little tlc, however the staff were professional and welcoming, the hotel itself was clean and presentable, the breakfast was more than adequate, and the location was perfect

Lovely Hotel

Lovely hotel with fantastic views of exmouth seafront and the sea - we had a small balcony which was lovely. It is in an excellent location so you are central to the whole of Exmouth. Place needs a bit of an update, just a bit of TLC overall hence the 4 out of 5. I would definetly stay again 👍❤️

Public area very clean and relaxing. We have stayed several times over the last 40 years and this is the first time ive noticed the building start to age. The room was comfortable with a view of the sea. However the bathroom door needs replacing as damaged and window sill needs sanding down and repainted. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ideal for walking into town and getting to the sea front.

I think the most useful thing at the Imperial Hotel is safe parking albeit at a cost, but all other Hotels in Exmouth seem to lack this facility making their use less appealing.

Charming victorian hotel

A lovely period hotel. Needs a bit of updating in some areas but mostly it adds to its charm. Food is good - choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts each day - every day different. Also there is a bar menu served in the day. While I was there they were offering cream teas and afternoon tea which looked good. Good location - right on the esplanade and within a short walk to town, the park and railway station. The gardens are extensive and are beautiful. It was great to watch the squirrels darting around and the various birds with their antics. I had a relaxing time and felt quite rested when I left so much so I'm retuning in a couple of months!
