I can't tell you how much I love Luton Hoo, it grounds, trees, and peace. I wish the house and the staff well over the next 3 years refurbishment. Madga, Chris and Pooja were particularly wonderful but the hotel's staff are so passionate and wonderful and it really shows. This was our 5th visit and I can't wait for our 6th. Thank you Luton Hoo team so much!

Unfortunately our stay did have a few hiccups that the staff tried their best to rectify but in the end it just made for a bit of an uncomfortable staying and leaving experience. May be something to do with the upcoming 2-3 year renovation of the hotel but definitely felt like a few things were off for a 5 star experience. Would place it somewhere around a solid 4.

Nice setting, but that's about it. Golf course is closed, as is associated 19th hole. Property is about to undergo renovation and it needs it. No bar, all silver spoon esque table service in lounge seats. Nowhere comfortable to work except in the room, which was generous in space with good provision but also very dated. Wouldn't stay again, not what I was looking for in a business stay hotel.

Period property with well trained staff

Nice setting and grounds. Work seems to have started on a 3 year renovation project. Parts of the interior are worn out but its probably lasted many decades and the estate was very clean. Staff were very helpful.

Be surprised if this hotel lasts another 3 months!

Beautiful grounds, view from the room. Apart from that definitely not 5 star. We arrived to having to lug our suitcase up the beautiful stairs at the entrance whilst the reception guy was dealing with a deliveroo driver. At the very least I would have expected, pardon me one moment, just let me deal with this and I’ll be right with you! We realised in the bar why someone would want deliveroo as no bar snacks/light bites available, no room service and if you want maybe we can get a starter from the restaurant menu, but nothing more! Room ok, very tired. Breakfast, we were shown to the table ordered tea, nothing came, no one came to take an eggs order, until we prompted. Checkout, no one to help with luggage again. When asked how are stay was, we said, just about ok, receptionist didn’t ask anything about it.

Poor Service

We stayed at Luton Hoo last year and were impressed with how dog-friendly they were – they even set a proper dining table for us in the main hall so we could enjoy breakfast comfortably with our dog. That’s why we chose to return. This time was the complete opposite. When we asked for the same arrangement, the manager was rude and dismissive, saying “no, we can’t accommodate you.” When I explained it had been done before, he told me it was “a mistake” and then walked off. We were left balancing plates on our knees on sofas by a constantly opening door – hardly the experience you expect at a 5-star hotel. When we asked again, staff simply said “the manager has already spoken to you” and he refused to come back out. It was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and a far cry from the standard of hospitality Luton Hoo claims to offer. If you advertise as dog-friendly, guests shouldn’t be treated like an inconvenience. Very disappointing, and sadly we won’t be returning. We were made to feel unwelcome and this is not dog friendly.

The hotel is about to close for 3 years for refurbishment which we weren't advised of when we booked. There was skeleton staff, not the usual Luton Hoo we have experienced over the last 8 years.

Such a beautiful stately, home felt like I was in a scene out of Dalton Abbey. The bedroom was amazing. The room is spotless the spa. Area was also spotless.The food in the restaurant was really getting there
