GREAT location, right at the base of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, with close proximity to shopping, restaurants and terrific gelaterias! The restaurant on the rooftop serves a great free breakfast with a nice view! However, the elevator is very small and, upon our arrival, we discovered that our room had bed bugs!!!! We were moved to another room very quickly along with a gift of a bottle of wine. The new room, however, while it did have a bidet, it was not functional.

a great location right at base of ponte Vecchio!! walk to Pitti Palace, palazzo vecchio,and more! excellent views from our window and good food in the restaurant. the windows actually open for fresh air ventilation for sights and sounds of this exciting city!

Staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was nice. The area (like most) was very noisy but that is to be expected & not to hotels fault. The location was great to all tourist destinations. The bus was less reliable than expected, which also was not the hotels fault. Took 3 bus times for it to come. Overall, hotel was good.

Hotel needs to choose different cleaning supplies

The smell of this hotel was terrible overall. They need to completely change the cleaning products throughout. there was no place in the hotel that was clean and fresh. Even the lobby had an air freshener to mask the smell. It smelled as if they used old dirty rags to clean and was everywhere - the elevator, lobby, restaurant, halls and rooms. Beds were comfortable but we could not control the heat - even when it was off it was very warm and we needed to open windows occasionally to get fresh air in the room. Breakfast was okay - we have had much better variety at other hotels. Sliced hot dogs for the breakfast meat was a turnoff. Breakfast staff was friendly, however the front desk was not. We asked for assistance on what time a Farmacia opened and instead of being helpful - the man looked at us and told us to "google it" The woman at check in did not provide us both rooms we registered for (only 1 was provided but she called it an upgrade??) and instead told us something might be available and had us move one of the rooms the next day. We spent the MOST $$ for our trip at this hotel and honestly couldn't wait to leave.

The location was amazing, and our room was fine. However the hallways and the lobby smelled like sewage throughout our stay, the pillows were completely flat, and the bathrooms could really use some renovating/updating. This hotel has a lot of potential based on the location of it, however they need to invest a little more in the upkeep.

We stayed there for three nights. The location of the hotel is excellent which is just by the historical Ponte Vecchio bridge. However, we could not bear the smell of sewage which is full of the hallway and stairway and even penetrated into the rooms. The window glass is single pane and we could hear pedestrian speaking at night. With more than 200 Euro per night, we probably not come back next time.

We were extremely satisfied with B&B Hotel Firenze Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio. I rate lodging on three dimensions and the hotel scores very well. LOCATION > As the name suggests, it is right next to the Ponte Vecchio and the heart of Florence. (In fact, it may actually be the closest hotel to the Uffizi.) > Being across the Arno, the hotel is in a slightly less touristy area (called Oltrarno). > We were very pleased with the restaurants we found near the hotel. > While Florence is a walking town, being at a stop for the C4 bus and near stops for other bus lines is a positive. (Buses are too big to navigate the narrow streets in the center of Florence.) ACCOMMODATIONS > Not only were all of our interactions with the staff extremely pleasant and helpful, but all of those we observed with other guests were positive. > Our room was comfortable but a bit tight since we had our teenage grandson with us. > The breakfast buffet had many selections and we enjoyed it. CLEANLINESS Our room was very clean. This hotel is perfect for someone visiting Florence.

What an amazing stay. The hotel was situated in the perfect location. The view from the breakfast room was amazing and the service was even better. I can’t recommend this location enough. There are a few lactions for this hotel chain make sure you get the one next to the bridge close to the city center. We were right next to all the top restaurants in the city.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to all the attactions and shopping. The room was large and clean and the cleaning service was excellent. However, the hairdryer was hard to use and there were no tissues. This is my second stay and will go there again.

Very convenient hotel for the cultural and dining attractions of Florence, a beautiful city. I can recommend. Perhaps the early morning street noise is unavoidable in such a location, but be aware if you intend to sleep in ... but why would you ever in Florence. Thank you for a wonderful stay
