After a staff member had a flight cancelled I booked them a room at travellodge on lastminute.com for $282. Two hours later my own flight was cancelled and I attempted to book another on lastminute.com but they were now $1180! After receiving all the email, txt and banking confirmations for the $282 room, my staff member arrived at the hotel only to be told that lastminute.com sold a room that was unavailable and that they could not provide a room even though lastminute.com showed rooms at $1180. Conveniently, this is after all remaining flights for the evening were cancelled..there is no customer service anymore therefore there is no customer loyalty… people remember good customer service when it occurs but they also remember fraudulent behavior. Consumer affairs will be interested to hear about it.

Room was clean and quiet. The free shuttle to the airport was great! The restaurant was fabulous, both for the breakfast buffet and for dinner. Our party of 3 would definitely stay here again.

The only reason we booked this hotel was because of the shuttle offered from the airport. This was on demand by calling a 1-800 number. A small fee was payable. However, as we have US phones, we cannot call 1-800 numbers in Australia. We called the hotel and explained and were told that there was no problem with us calling the reception once we had our bags and they would order the shuttle for us. After collecting our bags, at 10pm we called the hotel but there was no answer. We tried for a further 30 minutes, still no reply. We ended up having to get a taxi to the hotel, for an exorbitant fare. The room was okay, the breakfast good but we would not stay here again.

The room was fine. I would have expected to fill the fridge with some water at the very least. The reception area was very busy and the staff was unable to answer basic questions about the neighborhood since the cafe wasn't always available. The lobby had some problem with leakage. They handled it badly by setting out cones and taping off the area. Very unsightly and begs the question why was no one around making repares. The food servers and bartender lacked service personalities, more robotic. The one exception was the night desk manager who helped with a problem charging my phone at 2 am.
