Rooms are very dated. Facilities/ public bathrooms poorly maintained. Room cleanliness is poor. Housekeeping not attentive . Arrived to my room to find the shampoo / shower gel containers wet / sticky with a hair wrapped around it.. disgusting.. carpet in room never vaccumed during my stay. Will not stay again at this place. Dining service ok at breakfast.Lots of foreign workers

The hotel is well located and the fact it has access to the sea is a plus The pool service is slow and many of the staff don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Bar service was pretty poor too while offering cocktails and then not having the basic ingredients to make them. Coffee at breakfast is awful

Good location and nice staff.Good quality, choice breakfast, nice pool. Raj Kumar, concierge, was very helpful to book restaurants and arrange for a private boat ride Decor is grand and was probably very nice in its prime ,however for a 5* hotel , this hotel needs some TLC with furnitures and bathroom/ toilet, including the one near the breakfast area.

Good location to explore Malta and Valletta. Just outside the gates it’s easy to walk into Valletta. Going off to explore the rest of malta was easy too. Self parking garage for the car was nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Pool area is very nice, you can also swim in the sea. Suggestion: ask city to install a crosswalk on the main road in front of the hotel. The intersection is dangerous for pedestrians.

Fabulous Hotel, superb location for Valletta.

The staff were excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. House keeping were efficient and diligent, turn down service included. Ate in the bar, not the restaurant, but the food was tasty and good value for money. Facilities were excellent, spa, gym, pool indoor and outdoor. Location, just 5 minute walk from the entry to Valletta. Would stay again and highly recommend the hotel.

This is not a five star hotel. The entire building needs substantial repairs and updates, the dining options are awful, and everything from the room to the food is ridiculously overpriced.

We feel for a five star hotel the rooms are a bit shabby, the mini bar was not in operation, I booked two rooms and my son felt the same. staff are friendly, but very slow in checking in and also strange to have to leave a deposit for breakages in a hotel of that nature

Grand and opulent and a well loved hotel.

A fabulous hotel to stay at within 10min walk (up a hill) to the Tritons Fountain. The decor is grand and well loved, if not slightly worn. The 'Partial Ocean View" room looked towards the ocean, with a balcony and great views of the Bastions and towards Sliema. The buffet breakfast had excellent choices, and you can pay extra for fresh OJ and expresso. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall an excellent 4 days!
