We use this hotel because of its location to our family in Pittsburgh. We have stayed at this facility for many years and find that the breakfast buffet which we use to give rave reviews is now mediocre at best. Our room was clean, and the staff are doing a better job at keeping the entrances clean and picked up.

Disappointed

We went into the room and nothing was plugged in, the room phone didn't work, there were no extra pillows or blankets in the closet and the chair in the room was stained and dirty -we did not even want to sit in it. This was the second Comfort Inn and Suites we stayed on this trip and I was extremely disappointed in both.

We were in town for a concert at Mr. Smalls theatre and this was the only hotel near by available. It was a 10 minute uber to the venue. Upon arrival there was plenty of parking. Front desk staff was friendly. We got a king room and it was disgusting. Floors were dirty, not vacuumed or mopped, end tables were sticky, bathroom had toilet paper pieces on the floor and hair in the tub. I travel with a cleaning kit so we just cleaned up the best we could and headed out for the night. I’m thankful it was just for a night. The property was visibly dirty, lobby, hallways. Never again.

Extremely dirty

The workers were kind and attentive, but the rooms were filthy. It's clear that they don't bother to wash the comforters. Somehow, there were what appeared to be spots of pasta sauce in multiple rooms. There was no shampoo in the bathroom. Some towels had obvious stains that were folded over. Hard to say why things were so dirty when I could see the cleaners washing things in the laundry room. Rooms that were not being checked out of were not touched during the stay. Lobby was clean, I guess to hide the filth of the rest.

The customer definitely doesn't come first!!!

My disappointment isn't as much with the facility as it is with those in charge. We arrived late at night in the middle of an area wide power outage. They had emergency lights in the halls, but no power in the rooms. They were housing many of the power crews and the expectation was that we would have power back on in 1-2 days. That didn't happen and after 4 days we checked out. We were told that someone form management would call regarding some reconciliation on the rate being charged. That didn't happen. I finally called after 3 weeks. During that stay we had no power, no hot water, no maid service, no morning breakfast. Basically, a bed. There offer to us was a 20% reduction in the charges which also included a sizable upcharge for the weekend days. I am sure they have insurance that covered the lost revenue for that event. Their short sightedness in grabbing cash in lieu of customer care will result in me not staying at this, or any another associated hotel in our 3 to 4 trips a year to visit our son and his family.

Hotel was average. Only feedback would be that the furniture is very outdated and could use a revamp. It seems like they don’t clean the rooms not in use often. Our room was ok, but a couple things were dirty like the ice bucket, stained bedding, and microwave. We reserved 2 rooms one with 2 beds and another with a queen bed and pull out sofa. Both rooms seemed like they haven’t been cleaned in a while before we checked in. Pull out sofa in one room was broken, that you couldn’t even use it.

The room was not as clean as expected. It was not vacuumed well and it was dusty. Ice bucket had to be cleaned before I could use it too. It functioned for what I needed and the staff was friendly. Breakfast had a nice selection and the coffee was amazing.
